But the thing that went deeper inside of him than his mind or his heart, and maybe even the instincts that were screaming at him to heal and protect was calm. It had a practiced, alert confidence that whispered “You have done this before. You can do this again”. That thing inside of him was ancient, and on the surface level it felt like something other inside of him. But it really wasn’t, once he looked a little deeper.
“Okay,” Riley whispered to himself. “Okay, this is a really, really bad idea."
Methodically, much too slow for the situation at hand but slow enough to stave off the panic that was screaming at him that everything was about to change, he took off his gloves.
And then he rested his hands on the bare skin of the boy’s neck.
Friede, he realized without realizing, his name is Friede.
And then everything went blue.Or - Riley isn't a normal Aura Guardian (not that he even knows what those are at this point), Friede and Orla just barely escaped from a cult, and Blue caught Mew.
Nothing a cross-continent journey to find a (hopefully) still alive grandfather while being chased by *two* evil organizations can't fix, right?

Exactly what it sounds like. coulson-is-an-avenger on tumblr asked "hello, PLEASE tell me your aroace analysis of the black parade album, I would like to see it". So here's a short essay on the aroace themes and subtext within this album. Note that I keep using the term 'aroace' because I am myself aroace and being asexual does paint my experience of aromanticism differently to allosexual aromantics, but the essay mainly focuses on aromantic themes rather than asexual.

Summary
"For you and I are brothers, and the bonds of brotherhood are not easily torn asunder."
The door opens to the Cage to release Lucifer, except there's nothing in there. Only confetti and a trickster who's not really a trickster and has a hell of a story to tell. One that involves the love of a big brother willing to do anything to protect his little brother and keep him safe. Even if that means tearing him from his Grace and making him human in order to free him from Hell.
Even if that means tearing his own Grace out to become human with him.
With new memories pouring in fast, Dean and Sam are in a race to figure out who really flipped the switch on the apocalypse and how to stop it, pretending they're vessels when they're really just missing their Graces, and, oh yeah, trying to find their brotherhood that they both had a hand in ripping apart.
That last one might not be the easiest, but it could mean the difference for who they are now, and who they used to be.

“I’m suggesting we watch the preview before we buy the movie,” Dean snarked.
Castiel’s look of confusion only deepened and, for once, Sam was right there with him. “…You know, skip a few chapters in the book. Check out the dessert menu before ordering dinner. I mean, if Zachariah can show us where the future’s heading, why not Cas?”
Dean's not thrilled about Sam's plan to say, "Yes," to the Devil and spend an eternity in the pit, so he proposes taking a road trip 15 years in the future to see how it all works out in the aftermath of the Apocalypse.
Sam had thought he was prepared for what awaited him in the future, but a pregnant fiancé, a human Castiel, and a married Dean were more than he'd been expecting.
