"I don't like being away from you for very long," he replies, and warmth spills within her chest as her knuckles stroke along the length of his cheekbone.

But things are never easy when it comes to the Winchesters, especially for a young woman who feels everything they don't talk about.
This is an OC/Dean story that will (eventually) span all fifteen seasons. I’ll be diverging from canon where it makes sense, but I’m doing my best to stay true to the overall storyline. It's a slow burn, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

In the first, Maisie had pressed herself too close to the camera as he'd taken it, and in the second, he'd gotten her to sit further back, a big grin on her face. In that photo, despite her unruly curls, she looked so much like Sam, with dimples in her cheeks as she smiled in the way he did. The next two photos were of both girls, Maisie tickling Lily, before both collapsed in giggles across the floor.

Her crush felt embarrassingly schoolgirl, especially with how well he'd treated her the night they'd had sex, and the respect he'd shown her since. "God, if you're out there," he says, "I don't know what to do. I... I don't have anybody left. I need some help. God, man, just give me a sign."
Closing his eyes, he sits there. He can hear far off sounds of traffic and the whistle of the wind, but not much else. He thinks he catches a distant fluttering of wings, but there's no reply. Not that he really expected one.
(S1/S2 Rewrite) After Sam refuses to help Dean find their father, Dean prays for guidance. He doesn't expect to find it in an awkward, amnesiac angel, but at least he's easy on the eyes.
