“Well, what’d you tell them?” Crowley raises his glass to take a drink.
“I told them that I, um—“ Aziraphale means to put it delicately, make it sound logical and perfectly ordinary. Instead, it comes out as: “ImighthavetoldthemthatImiracledyoutofallinlovewithme. Er.”
Crowley spits out his drink. “You what?” he sputters.
Only a knee-jerk reaction of a miracle saves Aziraphale from being sprayed with talisker.
When Heaven comes to the bookshop to ask about the twenty five lazurii miracle, Aziraphale panics and claims it was to make Crowley fall in love with him. Now, they’re sending someone to check. There’s only one possible solution.
They have to pretend to conduct a courtship.

Summary
More than the loss of the skin—which was enough of a problem to be getting on with, thank you—the problem was, Aziraphale had done the wrong thing.
If he could say to Gabriel that he'd simply seen a creature in distress and decided to help, he might not be forgiven, but he probably wouldn't be cast out. But, knowingly saving a human from drowning was beyond the pale. He was meant to be spying on them, not helping them.
OR
Aziraphale is a selkie whose lost skin is somewhere in the village of Tadfield; Crowley is a fay who considers Tadfield his personal garden to cultivate and protect. They're drawn to each other, but neither is willing to divulge their secret. Naturally, a lot of inconvenient feelings and small-town hijinks ensue anyway.

“I do?” He asks instead, belatedly realizing it’s pointless to argue with her at this point.
Pela nods, procuring a worn notebook from her purse. She opens it up to a blank page, quickly scrawling in big, bold letters the words ‘Operation: Sampard’.
Gepard blinks. “Sampard?”
“It’s your ship name,” Pela replies with an exceptional understanding of the vast world of fiction, waving a dismissive hand at Serval’s widening grin and Gepard’s clueless expression. “Don’t worry about it.”

Or alternatively, Serval and Pela come up with a plan for Gepard to throw Sampo off his game by kissing him stupid.

Summary
Jason’s first mistake was hacking the Bats’ secret comm channel.
Although could it really be called hacking when they’d never bothered to change their frequency since his Robin days? All he’d had to do was log on, and boom – instant access to the best ways to avoid meddlesome Bats while he got shit done. And since his end was carefully muted, they wouldn’t even know anyone was listening.
His second mistake was thinking he could listen without getting sucked back into their drama.
Jason came back to Gotham with two intentions: one – protect Crime Alley and do it right this time. And two – avoid the Bats. Neither of these were proving as simple as he’d hoped.
