Once all the doors are opened and no corner of the corridor is left to hide in, they await their unknown assailant in silence, until Frank exclaims that he’s bored and that he’s going to be making a lot of noise to draw the ghost, no uh the monster, the creature, the… whatever it is out. Lo and behold, it works. Unfortunately, the thing is not much less terrifying in the sunlight, with its thick black coat, huffing heavily, its bulging eyes trained on them. But on the plus side, it looks to be human sized (well, more like gorilla sized while it’s on all fours, but those are minor details), so since it’s a 4v1 they should be fine, right?

Neil takes a deep breath and starts reciting in his most dramatic soliloquy voice.

All our weight is just a burden offered to us by the world”He stands up on the mattress, holding his arm above his head and gesturing to the world that is their empty room. Todd, still sitting, tries to reach him, probably to tear the paper out of his hands. “Neil, not this loud.” He protests with a smile.
“And though I burn how could I fall?
When I am lifted by every word you say to me”Neil jumps down to the floor and kneels in front of the other boy, a hand on his knee as he looks into his eyes, brows dramatically furrowed in an attempt at appearing desperately romantic like Shakespeare would write it, but his gaze is sweet – it cannot be anything else when what it holds is so impossibly perfect, even when Todd rolls his eyes at him and tries to ignore the smile pulling at his lips.

Summary
On their way to buy a Christmas tree for the bookshop, Crowley and Aziraphale have a conversation about the holiday, starting with the saddening realization that really not a lot of people care about baby Jesus anymore, and ending with the comforting realization that maybe it was never really about baby Jesus, and actually it’s still about the same thing it has always been: spending time with loved ones. To arrive to this conclusion, they enlist the help of some of Crowley's best work as a demon, for example "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "Last Christmas".
Maybe the real baby jesus were the friends we made along the way

It has been two months since Aziraphale and Crowley got almost executed and most definitely fired from their respective offices, one since autumn swooped over London in a gust of wind and rain, and two weeks since he last saw Crowley.
basically i asked my friends to give me a list of autumn things they like for Aziraphale and Crowley to do so that i could fuel my Divorce Denial, and ended up with 10'000 words of autumnal husbandry fluff. Enjoy!

And then Trinity Santos was laying on top of her. Well, not completely. She’d more just thrown her arm and leg over Mel’s body with about all the grace of a gangly labrador. Mel took a deep breath, and something about the pressure from Santos’ body made it feel like she was sinking into the bed. In a good way.
“This kinda works, actually.”
“Good. Perfect. I’m a human squeeze toy and a human weighted blanket.”
“A squeeze toy?”
Santos let out a weary sigh and adjusted her head on the pillow. “Forget it. Sleep please.”

After karaoke night, Mel goes home with Santos and they end up in bed together. Platonically. They continue hanging out over and over until they resemble something like friends. Santos thinks about Mel, and Mel thinks about Santos. But Santos would never look at Mel like that, and Mel would never actually date anyone...or?

“I haven’t really been to a wedding where I’ve, uh… let loose. But, hey,” Dennis shrugged, “maybe I’m doing it wrong.”
“If I hadn’t already agreed to go to this conference, I’d offer to go with you,” Robby said casually. “Show you how it’s done. I’ve got a good track record as a plus-one, too.” Dennis had to say something. To interrupt. To shut this down. But what was he supposed to say? No, you can’t be my plus one, because I lied about my cousin, and there is no wedding, and it seems a little weird to bring a date to a fucking funeral– “Apparently parents love it when you bring home a doctor.”
And just like that, the bubble popped.
“I’m not gay,” Dennis snapped.
He had never hated the sound of his own voice as much as he did right then.
