Set in the aftermath of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, V is a mercenary running out of time, options, and any reason to keep playing by someone else’s rules. The Relic is slowly killing her, and survival once again comes wrapped in conditions.
Drawn into the orbit of the Federal Intelligence Agency and President Rosalind Myers, V is sent into Dogtown to recover Songbird under the familiar pretense of possible salvation. Nothing is guaranteed. Nothing ever is.
When V realizes how easily she can be sacrificed and how expendable she has always been, she makes a calculated, irreversible decision. She betrays them.
Instead, she turns to Dogtown, a sub-district ruled by Kurt Hansen, a warlord and former Militech colonel whose honesty is as brutal as it is rare in Night City. V does not believe Hansen is good.
