When Midoriya Izuku’s mother dies in a villain attack, he feels as though there’s nothing in his life left worth living for. After his mother’s funeral, a wormhole opens up in front of him. Izuku walks in, uncaring of where it takes him or what it might do to him. He just wants to get away from a life that has nothing left for him.
Conversely, during a mission one Commander Jane Shepard ends up in a lab where a scientist has been studying alternate realities, branching timelines. Shepard soon realizes the scientist was successful with one of their prototypes, and she’s shocked when a depressed, injured and underweight teenager walks right out of the unstable wormhole. What is she supposed to do with a kid?
This is the story of how Midoriya Izuku became the hero the Milky Way galaxy never knew it needed - and the son Commander Shepard never knew she’d have.

Dick chitters in response, tongue forming inhuman birdlike syllables, and then slaps a hand over his mouth, eyes wide and pupils shrunken. “N- No,” he says unevenly. “No. I’m- I’m Dick. I’m just normal, really-”
“You’re more than that,” Clark snaps. He’s so close, he can feel it. “Come on, Dick, you can trust me. You’re a vigilante, aren’t you? Tell me the truth.”
“Please,” Dick gasps, doubling over. “Please, please, I can’t- it hurts-”
