Summary
This started as a reaction to the final episode (specifically Storm's End) but then it took on a life of its own. All because a certain Legolas-lookalike has me in an absolute chokehold.
There's already fics with reader being Rhaenyra's child, but here's my take on it. First couple of chapters are Aemond and reader as kiddies, but bear with me, hot Aemond makes an appearance ASAP.
***
While the Driftmark incident ruptured your friendship with Aemond, you find yourself facing him again at the petition for Luke's inheritance. And as war looms in the wake of Viserys' death, you are determined to prevent it in any way possible - possibly needing the help of a certain one-eyed prince to do so.
...IDK, summaries are not my thing.
A/N:
I altered the time jumps to age the characters up a bit because, I don’t like the idea of writing about minors doing nasty shit like war and smut. The 10-year time jump in HOTD is 13 years in this series, and the 6-year time jump is now 8 years. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.- Language:

In order to not live on the streets with your daughter, you're forced into an arranged marriage with a complete stranger. Your husband also has a son, and you try to treat the baby the way you wish you were treated. You try to keep peace in the house but for some reason your husband can't stand you.
He hates you for accepting the proposal, even though like him, you had no option but to agree.

Summary
If Anakin could be anyone, truly got to choose freely - then, he would have been anyone but Anakin Skywalker.
However, if he hadn’t been born Anakin Skywalker, he would never have met you and you would never have met him. So, it’s fine. It has to be.
Because when you look at him, he knows you don’t see the milk carton boy; taken from his mother and held captive for six years. You don’t see a broken window frame or a waste of potential.
You just see him.
But he can’t get you to stay. You always go, and Anakin doesn’t know how long he’ll be able to take it.
What he’s going to do.Series
