Summary
Doctor is a medical researcher for a research facility that specializes in marine work. One day, he is assigned to a special case and finds a cuttlefish monster type inside trying to camouflaged against the rocks. Instantly, Doctor is forced to navigate the feelings he gets when around his newest patient as well as grapple with the terms that his newest obsession will be gone in only a matter of months.
Harlequin left his pod after finding there was no future for him there as the one he had been pursuing for years falls for the newest addition to their group, leaving him the only bachelor. Newly scorned, he gets caught in a trap and wakes up in a tank. Cannibalism was only a resort for food, it was initially done out of desperation to not die of starvation. Wanting to fill your stomach with at least something to satisfy it. Back then, it was supposed to be a one time thing. Though as the years pass by, it was clear it was.. not going to be something that happened once. Your day off started normally. You slept late, you got Doordash, and you haven’t done much aside from watch trash TV and enjoy yourself. You planned to even visit the circus later!
You had absolutely no reason to assume your plans would be interrupted! Not even by the notoriously bizarre circus and its members!
So when Jester brings a heat-addled Pierrot to your apartment, asking you to take care of him for the week, needless to say a wrench is thrown in your plans. But you accept, because you stupidly agreed to whatever assignment Jester would give you before even hearing what the task was.
