They're both 27, near-starvation broke on the edge of eviction, and somehow Charlie is the only one really managing to hold down a job as a janitor at a shitty bar nearby. Mac has goals, of course he has goals, but while he ruminates on them, stuck between jobs, he takes what he has to his advantage: free alcohol from his roommate who works at a bar and unlimited streams of women to choose from every night. Summary
Mac McDonald manages to achieve what The Bird never could: fame. After his dance at his father's prison, his talent is scouted, he's matched with a songwriter, and Mac the Bear becomes a hit sensation overnight. Soon come the performances, the record deal, the music videos, and the ever-growing Dennis-shaped hole in his heart. Whoever said distance makes the heart grow fonder has never met Mac McDonald.
Mac McDonald manages to achieve what The Bird never could: fame. Dennis watches as his blood brother stumbles his stupid ass into fame overnight. How did this even happen? Mac fucking McDonald, with his horrendous voice, his expertly cultivated mass, and his bumbling personality, got famous? Really? What did Mac do to deserve all of this attention? What did Dennis do to deserve Mac leaving like this?
Mac slapped a hand on the bar. "Dee, I don't know, I don't care, and you're a bird. Can we focus on the important thing here?! I'm famous!"
Dennis's attention was brought to Charlie and Mac, who were sitting all too close at the bar. Since the two were intensely focused on the mess of paper in front of them, Dennis had free rein to stare at Mac.
