All Might’s words echoed through Izuku’s mind, the cold wash of reality flooding over his senses. His feet glued to the same spot his idol left him broken 3 hours ago.
‘Okay realistic. I can do that.’
or Izuku decides to take his idol’s words to heart and “be realistic” about his future. After a long night spent on the roof he starts to wonder what future he truly has ahead of him. Maybe Kacchan was always right.

Summary
After a rough day, Izuku Midoriya comes home to a shocking surprise: Hisashi Midoriya is back after ten years, asking about his new quirk.
Izuku senses he has some ulterior motive for coming home, and isn't happy when he finds out what it is. He leaves, trying to call All Might for help, but instead dials Eraserhead's number.
Aizawa Shouta picks him up, and Izuku has to decide if he wants to talk about his father and newly acquired quirk, or if he should keep everything a secret as he has been since the start of UA. Maybe some tea and a cat will help.

He doesn't like what he finds.
Shouta can't take care of a kid on his own, so he has to figure out how to move forward without hurting said kid in the process.

He was running on autopilot.
It was the easiest way to live without feeling the constant pull on his heart. Every time he comes to himself, he is reminded of the pathetic tragedy that is his life.
And so, he kind of Unplugged the power in his head and started floating, trying to dull the the pain tugging on his chest, the weight of his current presence that once were the future he was dreaming of.
Or:
after being depressed for 7 years, and discovering that no, it’s doesn’t get better, izuku decides to end his life.
Good thing he has people around that wouldn’t let him go that easily.

Summary
The summer had been hot- beyond anything anyone had seen.
Popsicles melted faster than usual, roads nearly popped tires, and training had become more of a bitch than usual to the heroics students. But it was productive. Distracting.
Izuku never minded because at least with everything that had kept him busy, he was away from his anxiety and reminders of isolation and bad habits. But things are always complex, and well, consistent. Sick of the blaring heat, a villain with weather powers releases what Japan may consider one of the worst blizzards in history, all while in the month of June.
When all of those distractions are suddenly stripped, leaving Izuku in isolation with his class in the dorms for a “well deserved” break, those broken bad habits soon mold back into his hands. But compared to his early years, the people around him actually begin to pay attention.
Including a rather persistent blonde.
