And to feel like this around Illuga is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. “Just put it in already,” he demands, not wanting, but needing the comfort of searing, burning pain that was once so familiar to him.

“No?” He sits up on his elbows, staring at Illuga in bewilderment. “Then what are –”
“No, I’m not going to hurt you like that. I refuse to treat you the way everyone else has.” Illuga has that look of fiery determination in his eyes again, and Lohen knows immediately this isn’t a battle he can win. “You can’t make me.”

Seeing Illuga look at him with those wide eyes he could get lost in, he almost didn't want to tell him. The words got caught in his throat and barely come out in a whisper, "All of these drinks have been poisoned."
In unison, the three men all exclaimed, "WHAT?!?"
