Summary
Two years into their run as teammates, the "First Couple of Hockey" has reached an internal collapse. Shane Hollander is spiraling into a dangerous obsession with bodily control, while Ilya Rozanov has succumbed to a deep, depressive episode. When their mutual resentment finally erupts into an on-ice altercation during practice, they are forced into a two-week suspension. Trapped together in the suffocating silence of their home, they must confront the physical and emotional wreckage of their marriage before they both completely fade away.
This story explores a much darker timeline for Shane and Ilya during their second year together in Ottawa. Please take the content warnings seriously, as this fic deals heavily with the physical and psychological toll of their high-profile relationship, including disordered eating, unmedicated depression, and a breakdown of their domestic safety. If you feel like any of these things might trigger you, please prioritize your peace and step away from this story. Your wellbeing is far more important than any narrative.

Summary
There was nothing standard about Shane and Ilya's relationship, so it really shouldn't have been so surprising that they had their first date over a decade after meeting each other.
It also shouldn't be surprising that it took roughly five minutes before it turned into a competition.

Summary
Given Ilya and Shane's history, they should be able to handle a few weeks apart. So when Ilya was out with an injury and Shane needed to head back on the road, they would cope. Shane would be occupied with adjusting to his new team and Ilya would be occupied with twitter and the trials and tribulations of British Bakers.
And they would be just so normal about it. Obviously.

Summary
In the early hours of Saturday, the Hockey world was ablaze with the news that Ilya Rozanov was dead. Killed in a tragic car accident leaving behind a slew of devastated fans and a grieving husband still reeling in shock.
The news also came as an incredible shock to Ilya when he awoke that same day, hungover and bleary, but very much alive.

Summary
Shane sat on the edge of the lounger, his eyes fixed on Ilya’s hands as he rolled. He was in total awe. Watching Ilya was like watching a master craftsman; there was a fluid sort of grace to the way his large, scarred fingers manipulated the delicate paper. The hands that spent all winter punching pucks and shoving opponents were suddenly performing a task that required the precision of a watchmaker.
He licked the adhesive strip with a quick swipe of his tongue and sealed it, twisting the end into a neat point.
“Fuck” Shane nearly moaned.
Ilya chuckled. “We have not even started moy kotenok. Be patient.”
Ilya grabbed the lighter from the table and lit the end, the cherry glowing a bright, steady orange. He took a small, controlled puff to ensure it was burning evenly, then turned to Shane. “Okay. Do not pull like you are gasping for air. Just a soft breath. Into the mouth, then take a little fresh air with it to the lungs. Then, hold it for a second before breathing out.”
Or: After figuring out some patterns and doing research, Shane smokes weed for the first time and thoroughly enjoys himself.
