Summary
Mirio went in pursuit of the retreating shooter, yelling at them to stay put, while Rody swiftly removed the dart from his arm. Izuku hoped that, as fast as that reaction was, it would be enough to prevent the dart from having an effect.
The small weight disappearing from the top of his head dashed those hopes.
Watching Rody clutch at his chest in surprise, then look up at Izuku — at Izuku's empty hair — in incomprehension was agonizing.
Izuku rushed closer, grabbing Rody's hands in support.
"It's okay," he reassured. Then, he reconsidered. "It's going to be okay. Those are temporary. She's going to come back!"

Summary
The entire body was tiny; Another of the doctor’s kindergarten finds, a child deemed unimportant enough to risk abduction. His hair had been green, before Kurogiri had been handed a shaver and told to get rid of it. He wore a hospital gown, since the uniform he had arrived in had long since been burned away.
There were so many scars on his body. Kurogiri could feel the starburst-shaped protrusions wherever he rested his hands. But there were others, too, scratches and cuts at various points of healing. Perhaps the nomufication would be a blessing, he couldn’t help but think. He hasn’t gained any scars ever since his own operation.
The process wasn’t long; It was painful and delicate, but the doctor had enough experience by now to move through the steps swiftly.

Summary
Honestly, it was a bit sad that a grown person was trying (and failing) to trick a teenager. But Izuku wouldn’t complain, not when it had netted him enough cash to buy the latest All Might figurine and still have a bit to spare.
All he had to do was deliver a note to a “man in a beak-shaped face mask”, which Izuku already had a plan for: The person who gave him those instructions had been perilously vague, to Izuku’s benefit. As long as he found anyone matching that description — which could even include a couple heroes, if he was really lucky! — his part of the deal would be fulfilled!

He helped Cheong Myeong gather some of the groceries and they left the cart outside of the house as they entered. Seated behind a long, wooden instrument was Cheong Myeong's husband. He was also wearing ancient-style robes, ones which looked even more elaborate with the white and green fabrics stitched with golden embroidery, and he was wearing an actual guan in his hair.
"Welcome home." The man said something with a smile, raising his head to look towards the entrance. His expression stuttered as he noticed Izuku.
"Hello!" Izuku greeted, inclining his head. His hands were full of groceries at the moment, but he hoped that would be polite enough.
"Husband" the man focused his attention on Cheong Myeong. "Did you kidnap that child?"

Pino slowed down a bit, before her wings locked in fully. Rody just barely managed to catch her into his cupped hands. Izuku came closer too, hands already rummaging through his pockets in search of something — anything — that could help her. But his hero kit did not include a first aid kit for birds (an oversight he would be fixing as soon as possible) and, in the end, all they could do was watch.
Watch, as Pino convulsed, foaming lightly at the beak, her feathers ruffling-
And then bulging out. Into very impressive, even if anatomically unlikely, muscles. Her wings resembled All Might in his prime, now, her tummy had a visible six pack, and even her tiny legs had some impressive calves, despite the fact that there were literally no muscles existing there.
Izuku exchanged a baffled look with Rody, who didn't seem to have any more idea as to what was happening.

The other boy took his hand back, staring at it in bafflement. He then reached for the salt shaker on the table, wrapping his fingers around it and making it turn into dust, the powder mixing with the salt now spilling onto the table.
“My quirk still works,” the boy concluded, turning to look at Izuku. “So how did it break on you?”
That’s how Izuku first got the idea that he might have some sort of a quirk after all. And when he first saw Decay in action, a quirk he later became very familiar with. And the first conversation he had with Tomura, who would later become his friend. But right at that moment, Izuku had only one concern in mind.
“I’m trying to connect to the satellite, but it’s got a password on it now. Do you know it?”

Hawks seemed to find Shouta’s plight very funny. Especially when he tried to find a not-terribly position to take a nap, in order to make the time pass faster.
“You have to lie on your stomach,” the nuisance advised, while he himself was happily lying flat on his back, likely reveling in the novelty of that. “Kinda- fold yourself into a pretzel.”
“I hate your quirk,” Shouta mumbled, rolling his sleeping bag into a pill and lying his head on top of it.
“I know, man.” Hawks had the gall to snicker. “Your quirk has been very nice, though! Very comfy for napping.”
