The tree he'd initially sat beneath to take a quick break had, at some point during his impromptu nap, shifted its shade. Because it wasn't very large, and was on the edge of the grouping of them, the sun had managed to slip under the branches and shine directly on Alucard, burning him to a fine pink-red. The heat in his body forced a yawn out of him as he said, "Oops."
"Oops," Sypha repeated dryly.

When Soma had run into some sort of invisible wall, he'd assumed at first it was like the fields which trapped him in rooms with powerful monsters, at least until he could kill them and undo their magic. A shiver had run down his spine, then, and he'd looked at the room around him again.
That time, he had realized what was wrong--everything was reflected backwards from the first time he had been walking through. He was already trapped inside the mirror.

The thing about Kaer Morhen being so ancient, a stronghold for supernaturally gifted monster hunters, was that the whole thing was soaked in magic. Trevor figured that, much like the old Belmont home, there must have been some pretty fun things hidden away. Maybe there wasn't a separate hidden keep inside the witchers' keep, not like the Belmont's had under their home, but the witchers had probably still gathered a lot of awesome things over the centuries of traveling the continent.
