Alicia's heart leapt almost into her throat; maybe Percy would partner her with Cedric Diggory! Merlin, but he was fit. She shared Charms, Herbology, Ancient Runes, and Arithmancy with him, but she had never been partnered with him to patrol before. He had always been attractive, but it was far more noticeable now in their fifth year than ever before. All the girls in their year had noticed Cedric.
So it came as a bit of a letdown when Percy consulted his clipboard and said, "Alicia Spinnet, if you'll go with Adrian Pucey..."
