   Summary

   The group meets a woman hailing from New York, dressed like a Soc but with the attitude of a Greaser. After preventing a disaster, Ellie ends up staying in Tulsa longer than she expected. However, trouble makes that stay initially difficult: many Socs aren't happy with the impression Ellie left on them, regrets from her past weigh heavily on her, and her new friends are unsure on how to treat her.
   The boys slowly come to care about her, especially Darry, but will they be able to help her like she has helped them? Will her previous history with Dally drive her away? Only time will tell on whether or not she chooses to remain in Tulsa.
