Chapter Text
“Finally! We thought you were going to stand us up!” Jimin crowed as Taehyung entered the private room that had one colossal circular table in the middle of the room.
“Did your fiance dress you? You didn't come to me this time.” Hobi asks, glances down at the jeans.
“Jungkook definitely did not dress him. That outfit screams ‘Taehyung’s attempt at casual’ to me.” Jin adds.
“Would you like to add to any of that, Joon?” Tae says as he sits down at the table, having removed his coat to hang up as he entered the room through its sliding door.
“Nothing.” Namjoon states.
“Why were you late? It says a lot when Jin and Joon arrive before you.” Jimin asks.
“Do you really have to ask him that? I reckon the answer starts with J and ends with K.” Namjoon says with a scoffing sound.
Hobi laughs, “Absolutely, it does.”
“I’m irresistible, what more can I say?” The CEO says with a smirk.
“You live together. You should’ve planned on being bent over whatever surface took your fancy much earlier in the day.” Jimin informs his friend in the most casual way.
“That’s true.” Hobi agrees.
“Just because you’ve not been bent over anything for a while… don’t start on me.”
“That’s also true.” Hobi laughs.
“Mochi will be off radar from the minute Yoon walks through the door tomorrow.” Jin says, rolling his eyes and checking his watch, “I was expecting service by now.”
The doors slide open and two smartly dressed staff carrying bottles of champagne in ice buckets step into the room. They are followed by another two, carrying trays containing tall glasses full of a variety of different coloured liquids.
“They heard you.” Tae says to his friend who looks less than impressed.
“We ordered cocktails and champagne for the toast.” Namjoon informs Taehyung.
“We’ve got a lot to celebrate.” The CEO confirms.
“Just wait until we get the tears and emotional speech… drink it quickly and we can ignore him.” Hobi says quietly to Tae while Jimin speaks to the staff.
“You mean, like we did last Saturday?” Jin says.
“That’s precisely what I was talking about.”
“Was he bad?” Tae asks the two friends sitting to his left. “He said he had a hangover when he came over on Sunday.”
Jin shakes his head, “It was well deserved, that hangover. Yoon got the call of shame.”
“No way? Did Mochi drunk call Yoon?” Hobi asks.
“Yes. He told him he was emotional because of all the blow-jobs he’d had.” Jin laughs.
Tae giggles, “It’s a good job that Yoon knew where he was and understood.”
“That’s what I said but I was immediately corrected and reminded that Yoon trusts him.” Jin states.
“That’s because my Husband does trust me.” Jimin informs the table as the staff pop the cork of one bottle of champagne and place drinks in front of the group.
“I think we should all say something for the toast.” Namjoon suggests.
Hobi nods his head, “I agree. We all have something to say so we should take the opportunity, before alcohol dictates our words.”
The staff leave the room, informing the group that the first course was imminent.
“I’ll go first, I don’t have a lot to say so it gets me out of the way. I’m not an emotional mess like you lot are. I think we should go around the table one by one.” Jin says seriously.
“Do you mind?” Namjoon asks.
The others stay quiet as Jin speaks again, ignoring his friends and anyone who disagrees with his suggestion, “No, I don’t mind, it’s the truth. I will say that this has been an interesting eight months so far this year. There was a point when I didn’t think we’d ever sit around a table together again after last year so I am grateful that we have all worked hard to rebuild and get to where we are today. I value your friendship and to Taehyung especially, I would probably not have opened myself up to Muyeol and be in the relationship I am in had it not been for you.”
The group take a sip of their overly bubbly champagne as Taehyung takes the baton, “I’ll go next. I'll keep it brief, my life has been all about speeches at the moment so I’ll take a break from it. Jin, you took the leap of faith and put your trust in someone, that’s why you have the relationship that you have. You put your trust in Muyeol a lot sooner than I put my trust in Jungkook but here I am, about to get married… twice. I would say that we have all learned a lot about each other and ourselves this year with a lot more learning to come, I’m sure… definitely, in my case. I’ve found my prince charming and I’m looking forward to the future with my Husband and with you as my friends.”
Namjoon pulls a face as some bubbles find their way into his nostrils, “Next time, we are toasting with neat whiskey.”
Hobi laughs and Jimin grimaces at his friend, disgusted by the comment, “Absolutely not!”
“I'm not big on speeches, I couldn't even tell my boyfriend I wanted to live with him and that was after we'd had the cohabiting talk early on in our relationship…” Hobi laughs again, “... but we got there in the end. I should really thank Tae for meeting Jungkook. My boyfriend adores him, I think he's made you more human and he's going to put Gravity on the map.”
“Is that it?” Jin asks.
“I did say that speeches aren't my thing.”
“I'll go next, unless Joon has finished reading messages from P.J.”
Namjoon looks up from his phone, “It was one message. Continue…”
Jimin stands up and clears his throat, fluted glass in his hand. “I like speeches and I have a lot to say… I…”
There's a pause as the door slides open. Namjoon and Jimin turn around, confused by the expressions on their friends' faces as it didn't look like reactions to staff bringing food.
“I hope you were going to mention me?” comes a familiar but unexpected voice.
“Fucking hell… oh… my… oh…” Jimin runs towards his Husband, tears unstoppable, nearly tripping over his own feet as he launches himself into the rapper’s arms.
“This was worth the early flight.” Yoongi says, holding his husband tightly.
“Who knew he was coming?” Hobi asks the table.
“Not me. I rarely know anything.” Namjoon admits.
“I didn’t know. I was under the impression that he was returning tomorrow.” The CEO adds.
Jin shrugs his shoulders and finishes his champagne. He knew but as always, it wasn’t his business to divulge anything. Yoongi called him to make sure he had the details and exact plans for today so that he could catch an earlier flight and surprise his husband. The model kept his lips sealed, like he had when Jungkook met with him about the proposal. He views it as being none of his business what people choose to discuss with him in private and lessons were learnt when it came to talking about other people behind their back.
“Is everything ready for Thursday?” Namjoon asks Taehyung while the group give the happy couple a minute for Jimin to calm himself.
“I believe so. I’ve written my vows for both Thursday and the honeymoon. The only thing that needs to be finished is the clothing for the honeymoon ceremony which Mochi is handling.”
“That was a really nice gesture.” Hobi says.
The doors slide open again and staff flood the room to place dishes onto the table.
“It was very thoughtful and we are both grateful.”
“What about the donations? Has everyone been told?” the interior designer asks. “P.J said that Alan was beside himself when you told him.”
“As far as I know everyone has been told where we would prefer any monetary gifts to go. Alan was extremely grateful, followed by concern because he would have to consider his options for a wedding gift.”
“I would say that wedding gifts aren’t high up in your priorities.” Jin suggests.
“You’d be right. It’s one of those situations where we all understand the tradition of handing over a white envelope, it’s one tradition that suits me because it requires very little thought…”
Jin half giggles, half scoffs, nodding his head, “That is the reason I am donating to the Safe Haven dormitory and what Heeju is arranging.”
“... let’s be honest, people in our position do not need a monetary gift but I had many guests enquiring about gifts due to our ceremony falling outside of tradition.” Tae finishes his drink and starts on the blue coloured liquid with various chopped fruit floating around as he stirs it.
“Do you know what your families have arranged?” Namjoon asks.
“Wait until you see what Em has put together for you,” Hobi laughs.
Tae answers as Yoongi and Jimin join the table, “Heeju hasn’t said a lot but my Appa told me they are arranging a mini-break for us as a gift.”
“What have I missed?” the rapper asks, pulling his husband onto his lap instead of utilising the extra seat.
“Aside from Mochi?” Hobi adds.
“We didn’t finish our speeches but I’m not sure that matters. Bottom line is that we are all here together now.” Namjoon says, raising his glass that has tiny bubbles fizzing and popping inside it.
“Looking at the empty glasses, I think I've missed out on some drinking!”
“I need this to handle the shock!” Jimin picks up the bottle of champagne and puts it to his lips, two hands holding it steady as his friends laugh and drink from their own glasses.

Racing cars zooming around a race track provided the background noise in the cosy living room above the diner.
“This pork belly is the best, Billy!” Ash states.
“Better than fried chicken?” Billy asks.
“Yeah.”
“That’s going in my blackmail bank.” Jungkook says through giggles and a mouth full of pork.
“Fuck off, Kookie Monster!”
Billy laughs as the three guys eat and the monotonous sounds from the game plays on loop, “It’s going in my blackmail bank too!”
“You’re both mean.”
“I do prefer the pork though.” Billy giggles.
“Me too.” Jungkook agrees.
“Oh everyone can fuck off!” Ash says as he takes another chunk of pork into his mouth.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve done this.” the diner owner states sentimentally.
“We’ll have to make sure we make time for it, especially when the diner gets really busy after the development has finished. I’ll be working at the hospital and Gravity is getting busier.”
Jungkook takes a sip from the low alcohol bottle of beer in his hand, “More of a reason to make the time. As our parent, it is your duty to suffer us.”
Billy laughs loudly, “Have you been drinking the alcoholic beer by mistake?”
“Why does everyone blame alcohol when I’m just being myself?”
“Because you aren’t usually that funny?” Ash suggests.
“Fuck off, Ash!”
“The last time you’d been drinking you told everyone you sing during sex.” Ash confirms.
Jungkook pulls a face and his cheeks heat, “That is not what I said.”
“When was this?” Billy asks.
“At the Serendipity event. Kookie Monster was very funny that night and very much drooling all evening!”
“I was not.”
Billy waves his hands in the air, “Wait, wait!”
Jungkook mutters, “At least you admit I was funny.”
“Hang on…” Billy says, “...let’s rewind. Who were you drooling over? Was Sonny there?”
Ash erupts with laughter and Jungkook frowns so hard, his forehead resembles a road map.
“What?! No! I was drooling over my fiance! Thank you!!”
Ash can’t control the laughter, “See? He… was… drooling.” He manages to say.
“Yes! Over my Fiance!”
“So where does the sex singing come into it? You never talk about sex?” Billy needs to understand and suddenly feels like he can relate to the conversations he’d had with Marie when she’d relayed discussions to him.
“Ugh! What happened was that people kept going on about how I should sing at the ceremony and I made a comment that I only sing for Tae when we are alone and someone, probably Ash, said about George’s and I said something about the bedroom. I can't remember word for word but I said ‘bedroom’. I didn't mention sex.”
“That makes more sense. Even if you were drunk, I can't imagine you telling everyone about your sex life.”
“No, I wouldn't.”
Ash grins, “Maybe there's nothing to shout about?!”
Billy giggles and can see the knee-jerk response before it happens because he knows Jungkook and how he reacts.
“My sex life is perfect! Best sex ever, actually! So… fuck off.”
“He doesn't need alcohol, he just needs to be pissed off.” Ash laughs.
“That’s all you’re getting.” Jungkook says.
“My name isn’t Emery…” Ash laughs, “... he loves details.”
Jungkook sighs, “Tell me about it! In the last week I’ve had some awful questions.”
“Awful? Like what?” Billy needs to know.
Ash is already laughing, he can imagine! He’s remaining tight lipped about the presents he’s ordered for the couple. He’d had an idea after a couple of conversations with Ara and Jungkook on separate occasions. The suits the couple would be wearing for the ceremony were not going to be suitable for later on in the day when the theme park rides would be open for the guests to enjoy. Ash’s idea was thwarted slightly by his sensible girlfriend because she thought t-shirts with ‘gross and grosser’ on the back wouldn’t go down well so they decided that ‘Just married’ was the way to go. Heeju’s input was valuable though as she correctly stated that her brother would be more likely to wear the top if it had a photo of Jungkook on it so it was decided that the shirts would have each other’s photo on it.
“Are we circumcised? Do we prefer to be clean shaven? Thongs or briefs? Allergies or sensitivity to lube?” Jungkook blushes at the memory of all the random messages he’d received from his friend. He’d asked for an explanation but he dreaded to think what Emery was cooking up when he mentioned a wedding gift.
“No way? Oh my god, he’s hilarious! Why does he need to know all that?” Ash asks.
“I don’t want to know, to be honest. He said something about a wedding present.”
“I can’t wait to see what it is.”
Billy makes a suggestion, “Maybe he’s commissioned a painting?”
“What?” is the question asked in unison by both Ash and Jungkook.
“It was the only thing I could think of. If he was commissioning a painting of you and Taehyung in a sexual situation he’d want it to be accurate.”
The two men sit in silence, mulling over the words of the diner owner.
“You did have a painting done for him, didn’t you?” Ash asks.
Billy chips in, “That must be what triggered my idea of a commission.”
“Yeah but that was classy. I hope you’re wrong.”
“What would Taehyung think?”
Ash giggles, “I reckon KTH would hang it in the bedroom.”
“Unfortunately, I agree with you. If Billy is right, Tae will love it.”
“Imagine if he hung it in his office at Purple Aura so he could look at you naked all day.” Ash can’t help himself, it’s all too amusing.
Jungkook stifled a giggle, “That wouldn't be funny if it wasn’t true! Even if he didn’t mean it, he would definitely joke about doing it. The screensaver on his computer is me laying in bed.”
“That man is so in love with you, it’s ridiculous.” Billy laughs.
“Do you feel like you deserve it now?” Ash asks his best friend.
Jungkook flops back into his seat, “I’ve thought about that. You know I used to feel like I wasn’t worthy and all that?”
“Yeah, that’s why I’m asking. Your stupid biological family made you feel like you were nothing and that money would always come before you… I’ve always understood why you felt that way, I just didn’t agree that you should feel like that.”
“I wouldn’t say that I deserve his love because I don’t know what that means… what would someone have to do to deserve it?” Jungkook frowns slightly as he continues, “If I think about why I used to feel worthless then that doesn’t apply to Tae. I trust in him and I believe that if he was given a choice between me and money, he would choose me. The past and those people who were meant to be my parents don’t matter anymore. Tae’s love makes me want to be the best person I can be, for him.”
“Are you crying?” Ash says to Billy.
The diner owner thought he would go unnoticed as he quickly wiped a tear from his eye with his finger, “It was a tear of pride. I don’t think you understand the changes we’ve seen in you both since we first met you.”
“Hey! I’m the same.” Ash protests.
“You’re not, Ash… when you started working downstairs, you were confident and always had a smile on your face but we noticed the smile when it faded when you thought no one saw. You were alone, studying hard and working to support yourself. That money from your foster carers was never going to last forever and it was a lot of pressure for someone so young. Then you were worried about JK… you worked extra to send him money and that wasn’t easy…”
Jungkook takes a deep breath and his chest tightens, “I’m sorry.”
“No apologies, Kookie Monster!”
“No! No need to apologise. Ash did what he needed to do to get you out of there. I’ve seen you both change over the years, that is my point. JK, you were defensive, quiet and difficult to crack! It took you both time to trust us and yet here you are, happy, in love and you have bright futures ahead of you. That makes me so proud.”
“Kookie Monster has definitely changed! It took the perseverance of a rich dude to get through to him.”
“And you know the truth about your father now. There's nothing to blame yourself for and there aren't any questions left unanswered.” Billy says to Jungkook.
“Yeah, your biological guy is an arsehole and he took the money because he's an arsehole. I don't know how you and Kyong are the way you are when everyone else are selfish arseholes!”
Jungkook laughs, “Do you want to say ‘arsehole’ one more time?”
“No, I'm done!” Ash says with a big toothy grin.
“Do you think Nuri will show up at Neverland?” the dancer poses the question that had been in the back of his mind.
Ash is quick to respond, “She’d better fucking not!”
Billy leans across from his chair and places his hand on Jungkook’s leg, “Have you spoken to Taehyung about this?”
“No. Not yet. As Thursday gets closer I’ve been waking up at night after a bad dream where she shows up and ruins the day. Tae has been exhausted when he gets home and I know he’s worried about leaving the business for two weeks.”
“He will want to know how you’re feeling. Didn’t you have an agreement that you would talk to each other?” Billy reminds Jungkook with a soft tone.
“Yeah, Kookie Monster, you two have got yourselves into all sorts of shit by not fessing up.”
“I know and I’m not hiding it from him, there just hasn’t been the right time. We’ve barely had any time together.”
Ash feels anger at the mere mention of that woman’s name, once again causing his best friend to look fearful and threaten his happiness. “Look. If we go by the end of year show, there’s no way that snake of a woman is getting into Neverland. You would never have known that she turned up at uni if KTH didn’t tell you and I think he’s already got it covered. You’ve got security because of all the high profile guests, right?”
“Yeah. They’ve hired some security firm that Tom recommended and Shadow sounds are sending guys to travel with Yoongi and Jimin’s parents, I think.”
Billy sits back in his chair, “To be honest with you, I don’t think she would try but if it’s worrying you, speak to Kyong. He’s in contact with your other brother, right?”
Ash smiles, “Yeah! If Han-Shik really wants to make an effort, he could warn you if snake woman is planning on travelling out of Busan!”
“I didn’t think about that, I’ll call Kyong tomorrow.”
“And you’ll speak to Taehyung?”
“Yes, I’ll speak to Tae, too.”
Jungkook had been searching for the right moment to have the discussion with Tae. Every time he woke up, panicking, there was a miniscule part of him that hoped his fiance was awake so he could get his worry off of his chest. But Tae was always sleeping soundly and Jungkook was always glad he was getting the rest he needed so he usually kissed the top of his head and laid in the dark until sleep took him again.
He thought speaking to Kyong was a genius move because he knew that he had some kind of contact with their brother. It wasn’t regular and was only when Han-Shik made contact but it was something. Jungkook and Kyong spoke at length about it recently and they both agreed that the middle brother must wait to be alone before he called or sent a message. Neither of them trusted him but in a strange way, it was a positive to have basic communication with him.
Jungkook and Kyong cherished their coffee together once a week. Kyong would mostly visit Gravity and complain when the dancer didn’t have his favourite type of coffee pod for the machine. It was their chance to talk about things that the other people in their lives didn’t understand. They could talk about their memories and fill in the gaps for each other. The eldest brother was shocked many times when he saw situations from Jungkook’s point of view and understood how it appeared. He’d never intended to come across as uncaring or as ‘one of them’ but he could see how towing the line meant he had effectively chosen to side with their mother and Ryan. Kyong accepted business school, a position within the company, the change of name, all without opposition. Han-Shik followed suit. Jungkook explained that their complicity wasn’t the problem, the problem was that neither of them showed him any support when he didn’t want to go along with it all.
Kyong shared his own point of view. The secret chats with Ryan in his office where he was informed of what could be his if he was willing to step up and accept everything offered. Kyong couldn’t see anything wrong with Ryan wanting to pass his estate and businesses on and he’d always felt honoured that it was the three of them set to become heirs. Jungkook highlighted that the problem arose from the fact that they weren’t given a choice. He could accept and understand Ryan’s desire to have his legacy passed to three boys that were his stepsons, but he couldn’t agree with the approach. Jungkook had a deeper understanding now though. After the meeting with his fiance at Purple Aura, to see how much it meant to Tae to have his estate go to who he wanted, he understood Ryan’s plight and that altered view point made him slightly compassionate towards the man whom he was sure suffered at the hands of his mother…
… the mother that he hoped would stay away on Thursday.
“Are you going to get a car when you start at the hospital full time?” Billy asks Ash as the three of them try to focus on the controller in their hands, battling it out on the racetrack.
“Probably.”
Jungkook glances at Billy, “Will you be able to hire more staff once the development has finished?”
“If business picks up like it has been, we might need to hire before then.”
“Would you let me know if you are hiring?”
“Sure. Why? Do you have someone in mind?”
Ash giggles, fingers and thumbs moving erratically on the controller in his hands, “Are you going to suggest a new career for Jin to improve his people skills?”
Jungkook laughs, “No! Even though that would be funny.”
“He’s a nice enough guy but I wouldn’t want him serving me with that resting bitch face.” Ash adds.
“He’s definitely a lot more likeable these days…” Jungkook agrees, “... I was thinking of this guy who comes to Gravity.”
Billy pauses the game, earning him a scowl and huffing from the two men who were capable of holding conversation and playing the game.
“One of your students?” the diner owner asks.
“It sounds so official when you say it like that.” Jungkook complains.
“Duh! Because those teens are your students… you are their teacher…” Ash adds, hoping they could get on with the game.
The dancer ignores his best friend and answers Billy, “His name is Sukmin. He’s just turned eighteen.”
“What’s his story?”
“He’s one of the guys on the list for the dorm. He sneaks through the fence at the back and sleeps in the shed where the bins are. He said he wasn’t a dancer, that’s what his teachers told him at school and they put him in extra English classes instead. His family wanted nothing to do with him when he tried to come out to them and he’s been homeless for eight months after dropping out of high school.”
“Can he dance?” Ash asks.
“God, yes! He was spending his time upstairs at Safe Haven and one of the counsellors sent him down to me because he wouldn’t engage with her. I asked him if he’d show me something he learnt at dance in school and fucking hell! I’d really like to know who told him he couldn’t dance! There was a girl making coffee and she turned around and clapped after he’d finished, you should’ve seen his face. He has no belief in himself at all. He's quite young for his age but he's really talkative if you give him the time.”
“Will you bring him in?” Billy asks the dancer.
“Sure. Let me know when you’re hiring and I'll bring him.”
“Have you got time next week? It’s crazy for you next week, I know but if you’ve got ten minutes…”
“Next week?”
“JK, I want to help him and you know that Marie will want to help him, too. You won’t be at Safe Haven for two weeks and that poor kid will be sleeping by the bins. Let me at least give him a couple of hours a week and give him something to start building himself up.”
“Will the new dorm be ready for winter?” Ash didn’t like the thought of people sleeping on the streets in the cold.
“I doubt it. Han has only just pushed through the planning permission and I don’t know what work needs to be done…” Jungkook smiles at Billy, “... I will find the time if you are sure? Talk to Marie about it first.”
“Marie will say yes before he’s finished asking.” Ash giggles.
Jungkook knows he’s right, “It’ll have to be Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning or Friday afternoon, I think. We’ve got the Vogue interview on Friday morning and we fly on Saturday.”
“I’ll be here” Billy unpauses the game, now deep in thought about Sukmin.
“Is the same guy interviewing you?” Ash giggles.
Jungkook answers sharply, “I don’t know and I don’t care.”
“Oh you SO do care!” Ash laughs.
“Fuck off, Ash! If that arsehole wants to flirt with MY husband then he can but I’ll be making my thoughts clear this time.”
“Ooooooh! Please, please record it, Kookie Monster!”
“Are we watching the match or carrying on with Gran Turismo?” Billy asks, checking the time.
“I think we should finish this, we’ve already missed the first ten minutes so a few more minutes won’t hurt.” Ash suggests.
“Ugh!” Jungkook exclaims as his mobile rings.
“Really? KTH has shit timing! Just crash and let us carry on!” Ash says as the game is paused again.
Jungkook waves his hand dismissively at his best friend as he answers, “It’s Emery.”
“What? Why?” Ash asks.
Jungkook shrugs his shoulders and stands up, putting the phone to his ear, “Emery? What’s up? Have you gotten bored of Smiler?”
“JK… erm… I’m calling for Taehyung. You might wanna leave to come and get him.”
Panic takes over as a million and one scenarios flash through his mind, “What? Is Tae okay? Where is he? Are you at Moon?”
“Calm down! Calm down! Sorry! He’s fine… as in… he’s not hurt or anything… he’s just erm… very drunk.”
Ash hears the conversation, mouths ‘I told you so’ and laughs quietly.
“How drunk? How come you are there?”
“I was at the BBQ place with Smiler and Seokie said they would be finishing up so I came up to the room. They’re all a mess. Hang on… Taehyung wants to talk to you…”
Jungkook can hear muffled voices and then the next person talks is his fiance:
“Hello… is… that the sexiest man… on earth?”
Ash clamps his mouth with his hand and Billy does the same as they hear Tae speak and watch Jungkook’s expression.
“Tae, I’ll leave now and be with you in ten minutes.”
“Yes!” Tae’s voice gets louder but distant, “It is the sexiest… sexiest man… he’s coming!”
There is laughter in the background and lewd comments in response to Tae’s words. Jungkook speaks again, “Tae, can you put Emery back on?”
“No… you… you are my… sexiest man.”
“I know but you are using Emery’s phone. Can you give Emery his phone back?”
Jungkook hears some muffled sounds and then Emery speaks, “Hello? I’m back. What did you say to him, he's really grumpy pouting? Are you leaving?”
“Ugh! I told him to give your phone back. I’m on my way… wait… is that Yoongi?”
“Yep! He’s rapping a Bruno Mars song to Jimin… see you soon?”
“Why’s he there? I thought he was back tomorrow?”
“JK… just get here because your fiance is sulking at me because he wants the phone back!”
“Okay, okay!”
Jungkook ends the call and rushes to get his shoes while and Ash lets out the laughter he’s contained.
“Fuck off, Ash!”
“Oh my god! I told you he’d get slaughtered! Posh, expensive, bubbly shit will do that!” he laughs.
“Yoongi is there, too… sorry, I’ve gotta go. I think I’ll be taking Tae straight home.”
“Good luck with that.” Billy giggles as Jungkook races out of the door.
The dancer speeds to the exclusive restaurant, being mindful to drive with care. This wasn't an emergency but it felt like one due to the unexpected nature of it. He didn't want Taehyung to be unwell and he didn't fancy an evening spent cleaning up alcohol induced vomit. It dawned on him as he drove, that this would be the first time he'd see his fiance drunk, a reminder that they were always learning new things.
When he arrived, he’d hoped they would be outside but he couldn’t see anyone apart from the doormen as he parked up.
JK
I’m here. Is Tae coming down?
He deduced that the best option was to text Emery because he doubted very much that Tae would be reading his texts or able to respond from what he’d heard earlier.
EMERY
We are all on our way out now.
Jungkook heard the Audi bleep and the flash of the lights confirmed it was locked as he walked towards the revolving door, choosing to stand back so the doormen didn’t talk to him. He slipped his phone in his pocket and heard the group before he saw them, sure that this would be an interesting evening and wishing he was watching the football with Billy and Ash.
Tae halted on the red carpet, just as he stepped out of the doors, arms in the air before pointing directly at Jungkook with two straight index fingers, “There! There he is!”
“Not the sexiest man… Your sexiest… men… man!” Jin slurred.
“No… The sexiest!” Tae repeats and Jungkook already wished he was somewhere else.
“No… this is my… sexiest!” Yoongi confirmed, grabbing hold of his husband.
Jungkook forces a smile as the group makes it to where he is standing, Emery laughing and getting to the dancer first, “Good luck! I’ve been with them for about forty-five minutes and I could throttle them all. We were not this annoying after the boys night.”
“You… you’ve not see my sexiest… when he dance!” The CEO declares as he hurries the last few steps to press himself to Jungkook.
“We have… we saw the dance.” Namjoon informs his friend.
“Not in the bedroom.” Tae announces proudly.
“Have you all had a good time?” Jungkook asks, desperate to deflect the conversation before his fiance starts talking about things he would rather he didn’t disclose.
“I’d say they did.” Emery says, holding Hobi up by his waist.
“We spoke about you.” Hobi states, painting at the dancer.
“We did.” Namjoon also admits.
“Nice things.” Jin adds.
“I… I… only said nice thing… I… I'm… if I could choose… I'd choose you for my friend…” Jimin drawls.
“Okay, that's great… let's go home?” Jungkook says to his fiance.
“Mochi… loves you… but… not… not like me… sexiest man… in the planet.” Tae says sincerely.
“I do! Me… I was wrong… I have my husband and you… you will have one.” Jimin mutters.
Emery chuckles, “Oh look, your cars are here… I’m going home.”
“See you all on Thursday… come on, Tae, let’s get you home.” Jungkook says.
Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi disperse, hugging and waving before they finally leave. Jungkook and Emery share expressions and a slight shake of their heads, with Hobi seemingly a lot worse for wear than Taehyung.
Jungkook takes a step forward, expecting his fiance to shift his weight in the same direction but he doesn’t budge. The dancer looks at him and as soon as he sees the pouty lips, the heavy lidded eyes fluttering at him, he takes the soft approach. “Do you want to go home?”
“Kisses… help me work.”
Jungkook doesn’t hesitate, leaning in to press their lips together, always happy to provide a kiss but especially under these circumstances if it meant they could leave.
“Home now?”
“You are the sexiest man… yes?”
“If I agree with you, can we go home?”
“Yes.”
The dancer huffs, “Fine… I agree… now let's go.”
Tae catches Jungkook by the arm as he walks away, “Agree, to… what?”
Jungkook eyes his fiance curiously, “You know what. The doormen are looking at us strangely. I agree with them because they’re probably wondering why we are still here?”
“Tell me… please?”
The dancer inhales deeply and puffs air through his pursed lips, “ugh! I agree, I'm your sexiest man… Tae… let's go.”
“THE sexiest.”
“Whatever!”
“Kookie…”
Jungkook sighs, “Yes, yes! THE sexiest.”
Tae grins, “I… knew it.”
Jungkook is relieved when the CEO finally moves and begins to walk. “I was close to calling Tom and letting him pick you up then.” He mutters.
He opened the door to the Audi and he knew that it was too much to ask that his fiance would just get in without trouble.
“You… were leaving me?” Tae asks.
“No… well… yeah… but I'd have waited for Tom to get here.”
Ugh! Jungkook was not prepared for a drunk, emotional lover as Tae's eyes filled and tears spilled instantly.
“But… I love you… so much… we are… getting married.” The CEO sniffles.
‘For fuck sake’ is what runs through Jungkook’s head. Now he'd unintentionally upset his intoxicated, sensitive fiance. He stands in front of him and holds him by the waist with one hand and wipes his tears with the other.
“We are and I love you, too. Please get in the car.” He says softly.
“You’re not leaving me?”
“No… it was just a thought said out loud and even then I was talking about having Tom come to get you and I would see you at home… I wasn’t talking about leaving you.” He wished he hadn’t said anything and he could kick himself!
“You don’t want to take me home?”
“I do… I really do… I really want to go home, Tae… with you… us… together, okay?”
The CEO nods his head slowly and puckers his lips, tiny specks of saliva ejected as he says, “kiss… so I work.”
Jungkook despairs as he obliges and kisses his fiance, “I love you…” he says quietly when they part, relieved also that Tae’s next move is to get into the Audi.
The dancer takes several of the deepest breaths as he walks around the black, sleek vehicle and climbs into the driver’s seat, handing Tae a bottle of water once his seat belt is clipped in place. His phone buzzed in his pocket and he was certain that it would be Ash laughing at him and gloating via text so it could wait for tomorrow as he had to get his fiance home and into bed.
“Did you have a nice time?” The dancer asks as a form of distraction from the hand that is caressing his leg.
Tae takes a few sips of water and holds the bottle in his lap with the hand that isn’t stroking the skin of his fiance’s thigh through the rip in his jeans. “I did… I missed you… I think I love you… a lot.”
“That’s good.”
“I liked being on my own… before… you.”
“You did?”
“Yeah… but… when… then I met you… I dreamed about you… your voice made me dream.”
Jungkook glances across at the man leaning back in his seat with his head turned so he was looking directly at him, “Really?” he hadn’t heard about this before.
“Yeah… it was the start… I dreamed a lot about you… when I saw… you… when we were meeting. I had to masturbate in the mornings.”
The dancer is sure he’s going to choke to death on his own saliva as he coughs at the honesty pouring from his inebriated fiance.
“Okay…” he responds as his cheeks heat in the darkness of the car.
“I cancelled a date… that week.”
The light traffic was appreciated as Jungkook was surprised at yet another admission from the CEO. “When? What date? You were seeing someone when we met?”
“Not really… it was a second… date… lunch.”
“Second date? Tae… isn’t that seeing someone?”
“Is it?” Tae shrugs his shoulders, lifting the bottle of water to his lips with one hand while the fingers of his other hand wander under the ripped denim holes.
“A second date is a big deal, it means you liked them… no?”
“It was just lunch again with… the same man.”
“You said it was a date? That has romantic intentions, no?”
“Maybe?”
“What does ‘maybe’ mean?”
“It was business… he was the CEO of… umm… a tourist company.”
“Did he like you? The first date obviously went well?”
“But we went for the smoothie… that was it.”
The Audi glides between the two yellow poles and the barrier lifts to allow them entrance to the underground car park. Jungkook pulls into his parking space beside the Gemera and switches off the engine.
“Who went for a smoothie?” He wasn’t sure as it could have been where Tae went on the first date with the other CEO.
“You bribed me…”
“I did not bribe you.”
“You did… I had no choice.”
“You had no choice?”
Tae shakes his head, “No… none.”
“Kim Taehyung, CEO of Purple Aura, was forced into having a smoothie with me?”
“Yes, Kookie.”
“It was your choice. I told you I would accept the tip if you came for a smoothie with me. You could have taken the money back and walked away.”
“I already loved you.”
As Jungkook unsuccessfully stifles a giggle, his fiance pouts and raises his eyebrows.
“Tae, you did not love me.”
“I did. I couldn’t walk away.”
“Okay, well, I’m not going to argue with you about it. Why didn’t you tell me about the guy you were dating, though?”
“It didn’t matter.”
“No one has ever said anything?”
“Because… it didn’t matter.”
“Have you finished the water?” Jungkook asks, as Tae tries to drink from the empty bottle.
“Yeah.”
It was a revelation about the date and Jungkook felt like his mind had been blown. Something clicked in his mind at that moment as he walked hand in hand towards the elevator… this man had been on the verge of a second date with someone of equal status and yet the smoothie with a busker had been enough for him to turn his back on it. Whatever Taehyung had seen in Jungkook that day, it explained his perseverance. Jungkook had been caught up in thoughts about Tae being able to have anyone. Consumed by the idea that the CEO would’ve been better off with someone like him… but he’d given up that exact opportunity because he’d met Jungkook and suddenly everything slotted into place. The dancer spent so long pushing the CEO away, fighting the situation because they were so different, yet Tae had known what he was doing and had the options available… the contrast was there… a second date with a fellow CEO or chase a poor busker whom he didn’t really know very much about… and he’d chosen Jungkook, long before Jungkook chose him.
“Do you feel okay?” the dancer asks the man stuck to his back.
“Horny.” Is the admission from behind.
“You don’t feel dizzy at all?” He’d seen the slight improvement in the speech of his man but he was still too intoxicated for him to entertain anything other than getting him into bed, to sleep.
“Yes… feel dizzy with love… for you… and am horny.”
“Okay. Do you need a shower when we get in or straight to bed?”
“Definitely bed… fuck me, Kookie.” Tae says as he stays in his position stuck to the back of his lover as they walk awkwardly out of the elevator and along the landing towards the door.
“You can get into bed and I’ll get you some water.”
Jungkook suspects this won’t be easy judging by the way Taehyung is pressing his crotch into his backside. The sooner Tae sleeps, the sooner Jungkook can relax. There wouldn’t be any more admissions if he was asleep and Jungkook had learnt a lot already in just a couple of hours.
“Am I your baby?” Tae asks as they enter the apartment and Jungkook starts walking to the bedroom.
“Yes.”
“Say it… tell me… Kookie.”
“You’re my baby.”
“Do you mean it?”
“Yes, of course I do.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“Did you call all boyfriends ‘baby’?”
Jungkook is relieved when they make it into the bedroom. He takes Tae’s hands from around his middle so that he can turn around and face his fiance. “Umm… I don’t really know. I don’t think so… but I didn’t love anyone the way I love you so maybe not.”
“I didn’t like it… people calling me names.”
‘Here we go again’ Jungkook thinks. Another revelation.
“You mean you didn’t like it when partners called you pet names?”
“No. I told them no.”
“But it’s okay when I say it?”
“More than okay.”
“Let’s get you into bed, huh?”
“Yes, please… fuck me, Kookie.”
“We are not having sex, Tae.”
The pout is audible. It booms through the atmosphere like a hundred bass drums in a parade. The CEO stands still while his fiance removes his coat, then his top and jeans, leaving him in his underwear. Jungkook puts the clothes in the laundry and returns to his fiance who is still pouting, his expression solemn.
“I'll get you a drink. Some more water would be good for you before you sleep.” He lightly rubs his hands up and down Tae's biceps and leans in to drop a soft kiss to the dramatically pronounced lips.
“Being fucked would… be good for me.” The CEO states with a defiant tone.
“I'm not fucking you while you're drunk…” Jungkook says firmly, “... I'm going to get you a drink.”
“I'm not drunk!” A statement that would've been more convincing if he wasn't swaying (albeit only slightly).
“Okay, we can agree to disagree.” he says as he pecks Tae on the lips and leaves the bedroom to do as he’d said.
The CEO was not about to get into bed unless he was getting what he wanted. This was not the time for morals, even if he’d expressed respect for Jungkook’s stance on this when they’d discussed it in the past… but he was sober when the subject was discussed before.
Now, he was under the influence and in need of some sexual loving so he didn’t care for the moralistic approach. He was a businessman who was adept at changing people’s minds and winning them over, so he was confident in his ability.
Jungkook grabbed a couple of bottles of water from the fridge and stopped off in the master bathroom to change into clean underwear for bedtime on his way back to the bedroom. He hoped that Tae was fast asleep in bed because that’s what the CEO needed. Jungkook could feel him swaying as he held him earlier and the effects of alcohol were quite obvious. Amusingly, the dancer could appreciate that his fiance wasn’t as worse for wear as he’d been after the boys night but he chose not to remember the drunken phone call that he was reminded of several times by Tae and Hobi.
The quiet entry into the bedroom is followed swiftly by a rolling of his eyes as he sees that Taehyung is still standing near the bed with the only difference being that he was now naked. He walks past him so he can put the bottles of water on the cabinet closest to his side of the bed and then he climbs into bed, hoping that his fiance will follow.
“Do you feel unwell?” There was a chance that Taehyung was staying in his position in case he needed to dash to the bathroom so it was worth asking the question.
“No… I feel like… I need you, Kookie.”
Jungkook throws back the duvet on the empty side of the bed, “Come here then.”
Tae takes careful steps closer to the bed, “I neeeeed you… Kookie… I do.”
“Come here and I'll hold you.”
The CEO should've known it wouldn't be that easy, “I want to be fucked not… held.”
“I'm only offering hugs.”
Jungkook made the ruling for himself after a drunken one night stand at a party. He knew he’d given consent and the guy wasn’t bad looking but he knew when he woke up that he probably wouldn’t have entered into the situation if he had been sober. He wasn’t someone who just gave himself up and from what he recalled it was a fun night but waking with a clingy guy the next morning and then having to let the guy down, wasn’t so much fun. He decided then that if the other person was under the influence of alcohol and he wasn’t, he wouldn’t be having sex… just in case.
Even if that person was the love of his life. He would be devastated if Tae woke in the morning and couldn’t remember having sex or decided that he only wanted sex because that's what his alcohol-fueled mind told him. Therefore, he was sticking to his personal rule.
“Hugs aren't enough, Kookie.”
“We can hug now and we can have sex in the morning, Tae.”
“What if I don’t want… it tomorrow?”
“Then we don’t do it… Tae, please, come to bed.”
At this point, Jungkook was grateful for the fact that the CEO didn’t drink that often because he couldn’t handle this on a regular basis, even though it was slightly endearing to see a naked, gorgeous man desperate for him.
“No sex?” It was worth asking to clarify. He knows what the answer is. He agreed with the principle and respected his lover for having such a rule when so many wouldn’t think twice about it… but he’d crossed the line into the realms of pure brattiness and his hazy mind egged him on.
“No. I would rather we had sex when you had a clear head, you know that and you know why.”
“Fine…” he turns swiftly away from the direction of the bed which wasn’t such a good idea as he’s hit with a little feeling of motion sickness but manages to close his eyes and let the second or two pass so he can continue.
Jungkook frowns and watches with curiosity as his drunk fiance makes his way over to the large cuddle chair in the corner of the room and falls ungracefully into it. He loves this man more than he ever thought it was possible to love someone and he found his petulance amusing. This bratty side of his fiance was quite heart warming and he was convinced it was a consequence of repressed emotions with the floodgates opening since they met and fell in love.
“I’m horny… Jungkook.” Tae states from the chair. His hand wanders and he begins to stroke himself.
The dancer smirks at the use of his name (he can only presume that ‘Kookie’ wasn’t having the desired effect). The smirk disappears as he watches the dark lustful gaze cloud Tae’s eyes as his hand curls around his flaccid penis.
‘You have got to be kidding?!’ is what runs through his mind, his own appendage tingling as it stirs, thanks to the sight before him.
Jungkook knows his cheeks are reddening, the temperature rising in his body. It was different on the yacht, he was in control and he was also distracted by his routine and confidence was high. This situation was out of his control and he felt like his will power was being tested as his fantasy was realised once again. It does cross his mind that his fiance was doing this because he knew this was a newly found fantasy. In the past when Jungkook had watched Tae touch himself, it was because the dancer knew that Tae liked the idea of being watched. It was a newly discovered desire of the dancer’s, a desire for himself, but whatever the case was, whatever the CEO's motive, it just made Jungkook dig his heels in more.
“Mmmmm…. Feels good.” The CEO murmurs. Hand languidly stroking his ever growing length.
“Tae… really?”
“You like watching me… don’t you? F-feels… g-good.” The firmer he gets, the more desperate he feels for his fiance to take over.
Jungkook swallows thickly, the hand under the duvet clenches in a bid to ground himself. He’d made several comments about his fiance being the devil reincarnated and this was absolute, solid proof and he hadn’t needed a helping hand from the alcohol consumed!
“I do.” the only two words he could manage as his mind whirred with a solution.
“K-kookie…”
The dancer needed to think quickly because the urge to break his own rule and give Taehyung exactly what he wanted was far too great and gaining momentum. The little voice in his head says that this is his fiance and he knows him well enough to know that it would be fine but the shit-eating grin on the CEO’s face makes his stubbornness kick in.
If Tae wants to play a game then Jungkook will play that game.
“Yes, baby?” He asks as casually as was possible.
The head of the CEO's cock appears then disappears into his fist. “F-feels good… b-but… need you.”
“I'm here, baby… I'm right here.”
“B-but… Kookie… p-please.”
“You're right, precious… Kookie loves to watch you.” Jungkook spotted the bottle of lube that Tae had taken from one of the cabinets on his way to the chair, which he guessed meant that his cheeky lover was expecting to win. “Why don't you use some of that lube?”
The sound that leaves Tae’s mouth is a disgruntled babble. He wasn't about to concede defeat. He was sure that if he went all out, his lover couldn't resist him so he popped the cap of the lube and made a show of spreading it over his erection. The lube was intended to be coating his man's erection but this would have to do in the meantime.
Jungkook perspires under the duvet that covers his lower body. His cock was hard, pushing against the cotton fabric of his boxers. He throws back the duvet and would have felt guilty when Tae's expression looks hopeful, if his fiance wasn't the one who constructed this whole situation.
Jungkook sighs quietly as heat and stuffiness is released from under the thin feather duvet and cooler air cloaks his skin. The air conditioning can't reduce the temperature that continues to rise as the dancer palms himself over the top of his underwear. He doesn't know whether Taehyung can see what he's doing from his vantage point and can only consume himself with the view that he has. His fiance is sinful, slouched in the round chair, completely naked, hand sliding up and down his firm penis. Jungkook often wondered whether Tae was cognizant of how attractive he was? The CEO was always so focused on Jungkook and the pedestal he has him on, the dancer has to question whether anyone has made him feel as sexy and attractive as he is?!
“You're so sexy, baby.”
Tae whimpers in response, “Kookie… p-please.”
Jungkook sees one outcome here and takes a deep breath as he puts his mind in ‘video call mode’.
“Does it still feel good?”
Tae's hand moves faster, solid movements, chest heaving. “Mmhmm.”
Jungkook reaches into his underwear and frees his erection. His fiance turned him on like no one or nothing ever had. “Are you close, baby?”
“K-kookie… I need you…”
“You're going to make me cum, Tae.” Jungkook says through deep breaths.
Tae moans and flicks his wrist just right, shunting him closer to his peak. He can hear the erotic murmuring tumbling from Jungkook’s lips. He can see the movement of Jungkook’s arm as he strokes himself and the power of speech evades him.
Their eyes lock on each other as they hit their lustful peaks. Tae breaks eye contact, groaning and stuttering his hand motions as he climaxes, light-headedness hitting as he throws his head back in ecstasy. Tae’s eyes are closed, his hand still as Jungkook grunts, spilling his load and stroking himself through his high.
Jungkook leans across and takes some wipes to clean himself up with. He looks over at his fiance who looks like he's passed out in the chair. He pulls the waistband of his underwear up and tucks his softening genitals away. When he looks over at Tae again, he still hasn't moved so he goes to the bathroom and gets a warm, wet cloth so he can clean up his lover.
He drops to his knees and starts wiping Tae, cleaning up the spattering of semen, pearly white glistening against tanned skin. Tae lifts his heavy head, eyes squinting as he feels like he's been hit by a sledge hammer. “You're mean.” He mumbles.
Jungkook gently wipes his fiance and dries his skin afterwards. He drops a kiss on his thigh, “Come to bed now?”
Tae pouts and nods his head, “Hold me, now?”
“Yes, baby… Come on.” Jungkook helps Tae to his feet and leads him to bed.
He sighs with relief when his fiance actually gets into bed this time. The grabby hands make him smile and he's barely in position on his side of the bed before Taehyung attaches himself to him.
“You're mean.” Tae says lazily through downturned lips.
Jungkook squeezes the man in his arms and lifts his head to leave a sloppy kiss on his face. “And you're the devil.”
“I just… I wanted you.”
“I love you too much, Tae.”
Jungkook panics when he feels wetness on his skin, “Tae… Tae… what's the matter?”
Tae sniffles, “I'm going to be… going to… be… your husband.”
The relief is palpable as he presumes that alcohol still fuels his fiance's words. “And I'm going to be yours… I'm so, so lucky.”
“Mean… Husband.” Are the last words before sleep takes him.
Jungkook notices the weight on his chest increase as Tae falls asleep. He kisses the top of his head and is sure there will be a lot more to learn about his fiance in the morning when he finds out how much he remembers and whether he has a hangover or not.
"Not husbands just yet." The dancer whispers with a small smile on his face.
