“Lovely, isn’t it?”
Looking up, Yoongi finds Namjoon watching him. He’s smiling, something soft that has his dimples appearing again.
“I love the resilience of lotus flowers,” Namjoon continues, setting a pot of tea and two cups on the table. “They bloom in the murkiest, muddiest swamps. The roots start under the water until they reach the surface and become beautiful flowers. They’re so delicate but so strong and determined.”
Yoongi stares at the flower as Namjoon speaks, turning the words over in his mind. The little white lotus spins slowly in the water, its petals open wide. “It’s really beautiful,” Yoongi says finally.

After having his heart cruelly broken, Yoongi feels like he’s tried everything to get over it and move on. Everything, except magic. Which leads him to a magic shop with a forest green door, and Namjoon.

These are the questions Yoongi had been pondering after a conversation with Jimin. Yoongi had heard rumors of the magical train in Seoul for years, but he never even considered it could be real. The myth said that you would need to sit in the 3rd row from the back of the train, in the window seat. 62A. You would close your eyes and count backwards from ten, and when you got to 1, the train would drop you off in a different reality, where an alternate version of you exists, and might have a completely different life.
One day, Yoongi decided to take the magical train in Seoul, only to discover that him and his best friend and fellow BTS member, Namjoon are together in every other universe.
(OR, Yoongi is depressed, and he wants to know if alternate versions of himself are happier than he is. He takes a magical train, and he is shocked to learn that him and Namjoon are together in every other universe expect this one, and he starts to develop a crush on Namjoon in his reality because of it)

“You’re awake,” Yoongi says, when he finally looks up. He sets the plastic bag on the counter and wears this awkward half-smile on his face, like he isn’t quite sure if he’s happy to see Namjoon. It’s an unusual look when normally, Yoongi has trouble hiding how enthusiastic he is to see Namjoon. “I thought you might sleep in today.”
The concept of sleeping past eight a.m. is a figment of Namjoon’s imagination. “I couldn’t fall back asleep,” he says, joining Yoongi in the kitchen to finish making his coffee.
Silence settles between them, brittle and taut. There’s something amiss in the air. Namjoon racks his brain trying to figure out what it could be.
(or; Namjoon is swimming in the darkness, overworked and anxious, until Yoongi reminds him what he truly values in life.)
