Kim Seokjin loves acting. That's what they'll put in his obituary, probably, right after his family details, because that's the only thing that matters about him. That, and that he's gay, and that his temper snapped one time and ruined his entire career before it had a chance to be what he knows it could have become.
His last chance to prove himself comes in the form of a reality TV show, a Bachelor-style outing that will show he still has the softness to be a romantic lead. And it's embarrassing, and messy, and full of quirky guys and their weird habits and fame-seeking and secret agendas that he doesn't have the energy to deal with. But it's just a job, and Seokjin never turns down a chance when it's offered, and the biggest comfort of playing the starring role on Destined Hearts is that Seokjin knows his own heart will never be destined for anything but the screen.

JJ went bright red all over again. Net worked very, very hard not to laugh, unable to keep his lips from twisting into a smile, watching JJ squirm in an attempt to not break eye contact first.
JJ’s writing session comes to a halt when he gets stuck trying to visualize the logistics of an upcoming sex scene in his novel. Net offers himself up to help JJ figure it out. It’s simultaneously the best and worst idea Net has ever had.

Taki likes how it feels to play pretend. As an idol, he gets to be an elf in a magical forest, or an angel, a sailor, a boxer, hands all torn up and covered in bandages. Often, he gets to be a wolf-pup. And sometimes when he’s running around on all-fours, or holding his hands up like paws going woof, woof, woof, K will crouch down and reach his hand out, fingers pinched together like he’s holding something small, and touch them to Taki’s lips, saying, good boy, Taki, here’s a treat. K will ruffle his hair, and scratch behind his ears. Taki likes playing pretend. He likes being a wolf-pup. And he likes being K’s wolf-pup the best.
