Set during 3x65 & 3x66, right after Bells Hells reunite. Imodna deal with their previous separation, but Imogen is hesitant about sharing. The things she pushed aside come back to haunt her, resulting in a dream that takes a turn for the worse. Laudna, worried out of her mind and while struggling with her own experiences, has a hard time figuring out how to help her partner, who’s slipping out of her grasp. She‘ll die trying though, because she refuses to loose her better half, either to Ludinus or, even worse, to Imogen's own demons.Lots of angst, lots of fluff; can you tell that hurt/comfort and whump is my favorite thing? Will feature some witchy trio in later chapters, too, because Fearnieeee <3

Summary
It feels like being turned inside out, like every cell in her body is being torn apart and put back together wrong. The warehouse disappears into a blur of color and sound and then she's there, directly between Mira and the demon, close enough to see the surprise in Mira's eyes.
The demon's swing catches Rumi square in the ribs. She feels the impact, feels something crack deep inside, multiple somethings, bones splintering like dry wood, and then she's flying.

Or: Rumi would die a thousand times to keep her girls safe, and that's exactly what terrifies Mira most.

She will never fully comprehend the extent of Amicia’s suffering, but she gets a taste of it through moments like this, and it’s a bitter gall in her mouth. She, at the very least, has the ability to spit it out. Amicia is not as lucky.
Sophia rubs up and down Amicia’s arm, hoping to wake her up or at least provide some level of comfort. “Shh, it’s alright now, sweetheart,” Sophia says. “Wake up. It’s only a dream. You’re okay.”
Amicia flinches, then her eyelids flutter open, revealing glassy, unfocused eyes underneath. She tries to sit up but lacks the strength. She looks terribly confused, lost, afraid, her fever muddling her perception. Puzzlement washes over her face as she squints at Sophia, her delirium blurring the lines of reality.
“M...Mother?” Amicia croaks, her voice barely audible. Her parched lips quiver as she attempts to form the words.

Summary
Title of fic and chapters inspired by Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline".
Following on directly from their first meeting in "Everybody has to be my Enemy... Except You", Laudna and Imogen travel and get to know one another over their first three nights together. Delilah Briarwood plots in Laudna's head.
This fic was written between episodes C3E09 and C3E10. It makes many assumptions and is likely all wrong.
