Summary
Barton knew that coming to the carnival was a mistake.
He certainly knew that coming back to the carnival was another mistake.
He kind of wished he would learn from his mistakes.
He just simply wasn’t the type.
//
When Clint Barton finds himself drawn to a circus in the middle of nowhere, Florida, he is forced to come to terms with a past he had long buried in the recesses of his mind. Dull, yellow eyes stare at him and push him to make many, many impulsive decisions that set him on a new path out of Florida.

Summary
Both boys flipped their respective sketchbooks to face the other, immediately analysing the others work. They sat quietly for all of a few seconds before laughing at each other’s work. It wasn’t that they were bad, or insulting of the subject, far from it actually.
They were just… different.
*
In which both Steve and Peter have a passion for art, but have two very different ways of presenting it. After their clash of styles is revealed, they both explore ways to further their art, and find something other than super strength to bond over.

Summary
“Woah, slow down, Pete. You’re telling me you know every single song in that endless playlist?” Tony questioned. He knew the kid was smart, but not eidetic memory smart.
“Yeah? I kinda listen to it everyday. It’s not that weird.”
“Okay, that wouldn’t be weird if it was a regular playlist, but this thing is longer than a CVS receipt, and you haven’t tripped up once.” Clint pointed out, snatching the smashed up phone out of Sam’s hands and scrolling through the songs.
Peter laughed it off, taking a sip from the Capri-Sun Sam had jokingly supplied him with. “Yeah, whatever, next you’ll be telling me it’s weird I know all the lyrics.”

In which, The Avengers find out about Peter's shambolic music taste and his other superpower, which he is more than happy to demonstrate.

Summary
I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

Summary
"I was just having a… nice dream, and my body responded. It’s a… natural biological process.” Ryland makes the conscious decision to not tell Rocky what it’s called. “It’s related to reproduction, sort of."
“Oh,” Rocky says. “Understand. Is biological process finished now, question?”
Even through the filter of the computer voice, Ryland can pick up on Rocky's devious tone. He knows the answer to his question. Ryland had gone over basic human reproductive biology with him on like, day 25 of their relationship. Friendship? Whatever. And Rocky never forgets anything, so of course he knows he wasn’t “finished.” He can tell Ryland is embarrassed, and he’s trying to make it worse, for some reason.
Well, it’s working. Despite his best efforts to remain neutral, Ryland is pretty sure he's blushing down to his chest.
“Yes and no,” he finally answers, trying to ignore that despite everything that’s happened since he woke up, he’s still very hard in his underwear. He rubs at his face, trying to make the blush go away. “I’m… going back to sleep.”
“Okay,” Rocky says. “Sweet dreams.”
That little… fudging… freak. Darn him to heck.
