Summary
“Was it a good kiss?” Max asks, grabbing one of Will’s shoulders.
“It was just a goodnight kiss, that’s not anything to go off of, really” Will says, but he’s smiling a little still. Max and Jane pretend to be scandalized, making noises, laughing, teasing. Mike feels a little genuinely scandalized, he didn't know Will… did stuff like this. “You kissed him after a first date?” Mike asks. Jane and Max laugh, Lucas even chuckles actually. Will sputters for a second but then smooths himself out, “I’m a modern guy, Mike, come on” he laughs a little, clearly half joking.
“But it was your first date!” Mike says, like that means something huge, and somehow in his mind it does. Will kind of stops laughing, “come on, Mike, is that really so weird? It’s pretty normal…”. Max sighs, rolling her eyes, “oh my god, Mike, why are you acting like Will is some delicate virgin?”. Mike kind of startles at that, “I- is he-? He’s, like, not?” Mike asks, trying to play this cool but knowing that he’s failing.

Summary
Mike leaned against the wall as he picked up the phone from where it hung from a cord on the wall. His heart raced as he held it to his ear.
“Hey, this is Mike. Who’s this?”
“Mike… hey. It’s... It’s Will.”
Will.
"I was wondering if you’re… um… if you have any plans after the semester ends?”
“Uhh–” Mike propped his slipper-covered foot against the wall and twirled the coiled cord between his fingers.
“Well… I was just gonna head home. My parents don’t really want to pay for me to stay in the dorms over summer, you know?”
“I see…. Well– Dustin mentioned something about all of us using his grandpa’s cabin for a couple days just to catch up and hang out. I guess Lucas and Max are totally up for it.”
"Where’s the cabin at again?”
“It’s in the woods a few hours from Hawkins. It might be good, being off the grid for a little while. Plus, Mike… you’ll make it feel like somewhere special, even if it's in the middle of nowhere. You’re the heart, remember? You go anywhere, and it feels like home.”

Or when a summer reunion at a cabin in the woods causes Mike to finally face the thoughts that he'd been working overtime to bury while away at college.

Steve scoffed and chuckled lightly, tilting his head. They turned on the street where the Harrington house resided. "Would've what?"
For the first time in a while, Eddie found himself truthfully embarrassed to finish his sentence. His smile turned wry, almost sheepish. "Ah, I don't think... we're new, Stevie, and my comment was all kinds of fucked up--"
"Tell me, Eddie," Steve said as he parked the Beamer in his driveway.
Eddie swallowed. There was no distraction of the road to cover up what he was about to say and he rolled his eyes. "I... might've... I was kind of going to say something about making you a mother of three," he breathed hoarsely.
Steve went pink but was suddenly grinning from ear to ear. He was silent as he got out of the car and pivoted to open the back, letting the sun fall onto Eddie's features as he peered down at him. "Not six? I always pictured six."
After registering that response, without another thought, Eddie kissed him.

Eddie Munson survives the Upside Down and hides out at Steve Harrington's house to recover. Eddie completely changes Steve's life, sexuality and all.
