Techno doesn’t know exactly when he stopped hating his rival, Nightmareーwhether it was when he learned that the masked man only intentionally hurt villains worse than him, or when he had bought Techno a coffee when they were supposed to be fighting because the pinkette had pulled an all-nighter the night before, or when he learned that he had rescued his roommate Dream from being kidnapped by Quackity, another hero who Techno doesn’t try to hide his resentment towardsーbut he can’t argue that he’s been fighting the man for fun for a little while now.
Apparently, he doesn’t know a lot of things, because he also doesn’t know when he started to fall in love with his roommate. He and Dream had been complete strangers when they were assigned as roommates their freshman year, but as time went on, and they started to talk more and more, Techno would dare to call them friends.
Or: The Blade, the strongest hero in the city, and Nightmare, the number one chaos-causer, find out that they're a bit closer than they thought

Summary
Nightmare is a vigilante and a thorn in the Syndicate's side, almost as bad as the former #1 hero—now missing, with a bounty on his head. It seems like every time they get close to figuring out another lead on the corruption deep in the Hero Federation's core, Nightmare is there first, mucking up their investigations and sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.
Technoblade doesn't volunteer to deal with the problem so much as stumble into the job, but whatever, it's just one annoying guy in a stupid mask. How hard can it be?

Summary
Dream’s jaw goes white and tight, the tendon tense as he grits his teeth. But when he pulls out, he turns them towards home, and Techno relaxes a little. “If you’re worse in the morning, then I’m taking you to the doctor whether you like it or not.”
“Deal,” Techno agrees, some of his annoyance slipping into smugness instead. He doesn’t get sick. Once he sleeps this off, he’ll be fine. And when he wakes up fine and dandy, he’s going to love rubbing that in Dream’s face.
Technoblade gets sick and Dream feels some kind of way about that.
