Summary
ryan leonard thought everything would be fine even if he'd realistically only see smitty twice during the season since they were drafted into different conferences. he thought that everything would be fine, even if he's had smitty at his side for close to a decade now and doesn't know how to exist without him anymore.
it's fine. everything's fine, just like it always is.
so why the fuck is will not answering his texts?

Summary
They weren't meant to make it this far. It was just meant to be a simple thing where they just saw each other when Mack was in town or if they were both free for a while- not something that had things like feelings or attachments.

Summary
Will shifted, nudging Liam’s face out of his neck, his cheeks splotchy, “Hey, baby.” He murmured, cupping the boy’s chin, “You wanna stay with Dada this week?”
Liam perked up at that, looking at Mack with sad, blue eyes. He turned back to Will, his brows furrowed, “Papa, too.” He pouted.

Summary
Macklin Celebrini has spent years trying to be the kind of omega people can tolerate. It's exhausting.
Meanwhile, Will Smith has never had much trouble being an alpha. He's loud, confident, annoyingly easy to like, and somehow always manages to end up exactly where Mack doesn't want him.
And now they're drafted onto the same team.
As Mack navigates the NHL, and a league that still isn't quite sure what to do with omegas, Will keeps showing up for him.
Mack is pretty sure he can't stand him.
Will is pretty sure that's a lie.
Or: an omega who smells like spoiled milk, an alpha who refuses to take the hint, and several years of hockey before either of them figures out what's actually going on.

Summary
For as long as Macklin celebrini could remember, his life orbited around hockey. Around the discipline that came with it, the strain he felt build with every bad game, but also the sincere joy he felt every time he stepped out on the ice. It was always there, his training and passion carving the way for him to lead his team to victory. He knew this to be true from the time he first picked up a stick, to his time at Boston University, and now on the San Jose Sharks.
But he couldn’t shake the deep seated feeling that something wasn’t right, his shoulders shook a little more with every game, his hands felt like they clenched into permanent fists. With every game came more issues, more things he did wrong, more passes he didn’t make, and more phone calls from the one person he wants to make proud, picking out every single problem with his gameplay.
Rick Celebrini had always been this way, couch first, father dead last. And that fact never made it not sting when Macklin was so desperately seeking his father’s approval, just to fall short every single time. And it hurt, it began to chip away at his body, corroding the bone beneath his flesh, shaping his mindset for the next game that he knew would never be better.
