Summary
At some point, Mike had come up with a plan that he thought was pretty genius. Every time Will had a nightmare, he would quickly wrap the boy up in his arms before his friend even had a second to protest. He would hold the boy until he fell asleep and, often, they would wake up in the same position. He did this in the hopes he would not only comfort his friend, but also make him feel less embarrassed about his nightmares.
Before he could lose his nerve, Mike laid back down on the bed, opening his arms wide; he hoped Will had adjusted to the darkness enough to see his movement.
“C’mere,” He blurted.
--
Or, Will wakes up from a nightmare and Mike helps in the best way he knows how: Cuddles. Which would be fine, except for the fact he's been trying to hide his feelings for his best friend since the moment he touched down in California.

Summary
“I said we should get married. Like, for real.” Will says. “I mean, since we’ve been — “
“Okay.” Mike says, unblinking. This stops Will’s rant halfway through. He stops and stares at Mike like he's grown a third head.
“Okay.” Mike repeats. He’s so drunk, it’s not even funny. “Let’s get married. For real.”
Mike and Will, best friends/roommates/partners in crime get married. It's an accident. Really.

Mike Wheeler can't live another day until the end of the world without telling Will Byers how he feels about him. He couldn't stomach the thought of what might happen and the other never knowing about his feelings. He had to tell Will.

Summary
“Wait,” Will said in a harsh, croaky voice. He felt like his brain was dribbling out of his ears and he fell onto the couch with a small poof of air as he stared at Mike in such a hard daze that it was a wonder he didn’t pass out again. “I - what do you - “
They stared at each other.
The air was thick and suddenly it was like Will could taste ozone at the back of his tongue, like electricity was coating his mouth and didn’t leave any room to breathe, to think, and his voice was wobbly, uncertain, as he said, “what do you mean… other boys?”
***
Will tells everybody about his Tammy.
Mike, of course, reacts in a totally normal way.

Summary
“Okay,” Will says, and throws the door open. “Surprise!”
Mike opens his eyes. Then–
“Will,” he says, and it comes out a bit strangled. “Is that a puppy?”
This is a bit of a stupid question. Mike isn’t dumb. He knows what a puppy looks like. The thing in Will’s hands– a little wrinkled and brown and very covered in fur– is definitely a puppy.
Will brings home a dog. It goes about as well as expected.
