“Would you believe I've been in-duct-ed into a cult?”
“Sif. I'm not sure they can tape much more.” Isa said with a laugh.
“Puns notwithstanding,” Odile started, “do you have a good reason for your terrible bracelet?”
“Yes.” Siffrin said with a nod. They did not elaborate.

Summary
The Voice of the Hero is hard enough to work with, from the Narrator's perspective. A random voice that wants to save (and perhaps fall in love with) the Princess is the opposite of what He needs.
But it could be worse. Our protagonist could have arrived with the Voice of the Contrarian in his head, instead.
