Summary
His morals ache all around him and his family name weighs him down even more, as if to tell him this isn’t what he’s supposed to be doing — to take a filthy supernatural’s life (what he should be doing) just to give its remains to another, filthier supernatural. They tug at his skin through pinches and they scream bloody murder into his ears, but their cries come in one ear and out the other.
It’s simple, really. He brings the supernatural some food because he needs to eat. He just happens to eat supernatural hearts and maybe the remains too, so he exorcises supernaturals and brings the remains to him so he doesn’t starve. It's not like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Mitsuba needs him, Kou satisfies his needs. How complicated can it really get?

Summary
He corners Kou in the kitchen, two arms braced against the boy’s side, bracketing him in. The blonde blinks down at him, pink apron sashed around his waist, long eyelashes drooping the longer they stare at him.
“It’s not that there’s been nobody else,” he stands on his tip toes, voice soft and low, a truth between just the two of them. “I’ve had my pick of plenty, and I’ve chosen you. There’s plenty of others, but you’re right,” his hand trails alongside Kou’s jaw, behind his ears, to the hair at the nape of his neck, “you’ve always been my favourite, Kou.”

Summary
He was busy trying to figure out if Max’s eye colour is blue or green. Or maybe something more pretty like a jade or an emerald.
Oh and he wanted to ask Max something.
“Do you want to dance with me?” How did you come up with the name 'Mr. Honeynuts'?
A lengthy pause.
“What.”

Max and Neil slow dance together under the moonlight, Nikki is pursuing her true self, David and Gwen are content parents.

Summary
The air was heavy with the promise of summer and the threat of thunder. There was something electric about witnessing how the clouds hung low in the sky, in between downpours. Like a coil ready to burst at a moment’s notice. It made Mitsuba impatient.
Their clothes were soaked through, and he would have half the mind to feel gross about the way his cotton t-shirt was clinging to his body if it weren't for the way Minamoto’s thigh pressed against his lit up every single one of his nerve endings.
Or: The start of summer break and the yearning that comes with crushing on your best friend.

Summary
"According to a paper that appeared in Nature in 1987, the Acyrthosiphon pisum, a sap-sucking insect commonly known as the pea aphid, has been known to explode itself in order to protect its surrounding relatives from predators such as the ladybug, thereby sacrificing its life."
He swears that he'll get it right this time.
