Bursting through an airship mid-flight didn't seriously muss it and neither did falling out of one. Instead, as they fell, it fanned around him and narrowed his gaze.
Like that, Noé felt uniquely observed when Vanitas looked at him. Like he was the sole focus of that cloak-and-dagger attention.
Even back then, the urge to run his fingers through it was present.
