Summary
After a particularly harrowing Akuma attack almost sees Marinette killed while untransformed she realizes a crucial flaw in the careful balancing act she performs as a superhero. Paris can be set on fire and its people turned to stone and its buildings demolished- but as long as Ladybug is there it can be Cured and reversed like nothing ever happened. But if Marinette dies then...well, no Ladybug no Cure, no Cure, no Paris.
The solution is fairly straight forward then: if there must always be a Ladybug, then there must always be someone who is prepared to take up the mantle if she dies. Someone brave and loyal and kind- and more importantly, someone who is close to Ladybugs civilian identity.
(How else will they know which body to take the earrings from?)

Summary
So she’s leaning back against the sand, hidden by several large crates and catching some sun when Marcus enters her perception. She brings her legs in towards her body, curling up so she takes less space and Marcus likely won’t see her behind the crates.
“Did she survive?” yep that’s Marcus’ voice.
“Yeah, she survived alright. Girl gives as good as she gets.” Replies a voice she doesn’t recognize, accompanied with a rather unfortunate coughing fit. They should get that checked out. Who are they even talking about? Some lady enforcer who survived a scuffle?
“I don’t even know why you care. It’d be better for you if she died, at least then you’d be fully gone and free from Silco finding out.” Now Jinx’s ears are pricked, focusing much more intently on the conversation. Was Marcus supposed to kill someone for Silco? He’d be pretty fucking pissed if he found out Marcus was developing morals this far into his bloody career.Marcus lets out a forceful breath. “Just keep an eye on Stillwater.” He replies, voice brusque.
“She’s Vander’s kid, I’d be stupid not to.”

Summary
When Korra returns to the south pole to continue her recovery, Asami can’t let her go alone. Korra means too much to her, and after everything she suffered through at the hands of the Red Lotus, the least Asami can do is be there for her.
As grateful as Korra is, she knows Asami can’t help her. Asami has no idea how bad things are. No one does.
That’s a good thing, though. If no one else knows, and Korra doesn’t think about it, then maybe it’ll be like it never happened at all.

This is a fic about pushing a 'weak' power to its absolute limits. It's also a fic about Taylor biting off way more than she can chew and then chewing anyway, consequences be damned. She might not be able to beat an average guy in a fistfight, but boy can she be a pain in the neck for anyone dumb enough to think that means they can take her on.

The decree that Crown Prince Zuko would be sent on a mission to seek out and capture the Avatar in order to redeem himself in the eyes of the Fire Nation is abruptly rescinded only three short hours after it is made law.
In the end, the only ones who know the full story are the Fire Lord himself, the Princess, and her two handmaidens. You see, no one notices the way Mai stands just a tiny bit closer to Azula, after; how Ty Lee’s affection is a little softer than before. How the Princess withdraws further into herself, how she seems to sleep less. The new scar on Mai’s wrist is small, but it’s not meant to be for everyone to see, so that’s okay.
Life debts are tricky to handle, but in rare cases, they’re worth it.
