Summary
You know how in English class your teacher gives you weekly vocabulary words that you have to then use in a sentence for homework to help you learn them before your Friday spelling test?
This is that, except it's just the writing sentences part, and I'm not currently in school, and am just assigning words to myself to improve my own vocabulary ... And I've realized most of the sentences I've been writing have basically been single-sentence fanfics. Go figure.
So I'm posting them all here, in the hope that doing so will motivate me to learn words more. And that someone might get a chuckle out of it, perhaps. And that maybe, just maybe, more students will do their English homework in the form of single-sentence fanfiction.

Summary
Dean lies there and listens to his own ragged breathing. It sounds soft, young, gentle. His voice is a tiny little clamour in his chest. His dad is still chanting a string of Latin over him. He's never felt smaller than when he's on a hunt with John Winchester, all gruff orders and whiskey shots.
But his dad has been dead for years.
When a hunt for a nightmare creature goes wrong, Dean is forced to face fears he thought he'd buried, and Cas isn't going to let things lie.

Summary
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you,” Cas rumbles, hushed.
Dean hums tiredly. “S’not your fault I haven’t fixed that creaky ass door,” Dean lies. The door has nothing to do with why he’s awake. “How long you been up.”
He doesn’t say it like a question, though it is. Truth be told, Dean knows exactly how long Cas has been up.
“Not long,” Cas also lies.

AKA the one where Cas can't sleep because human-ing is still weird, and Dean can't sleep because Cas won't stay in the damn bed.
