Summary
“My little one. Oh my love,” Neuvillette catches the mother, joyful yet weary, say under her breath. “Don’t grow up too fast.”
It doesn’t break him to hear that. Neuvillette lived at least a hundred human lifetimes. There are so many painful things he’s heard, it does not break him.
But the next time he catches a sleepy smile from Wriothesley on the pillow beside him, the sky outside rumbles.
Oh my love. He thinks, before he can stop himself. Don’t grow up too fast.
—How tragic it is. How funny. That the Hydro Dragon is falling in love with a human.

Summary
“That means the same for you, right?” He says, just as Hinata hikes a leg over the worn leather of his bicycle seat.
“What do you mean?”
“Volleyball,” says Kageyama. “It’s your first love too, yeah?”
For a moment, it’s only the evening sound of cicadas. The distant sound of a neighborhood dog barking. The heavy taste of Miyagi’s summer air on his tongue. The thump of Kageyama’s heartbeat, picking up seconds faster than it should.
—Kageyama believes life is all about routine and foundation. Hinata, of course, enters his life and challenges everything he knows.

Summary
“Truthfully I don’t know,” confessed Neuvillette. “How to love someone.”
It was the day after his heat finally finished. Wriothesley stared blankly at him, the bags under his eyes as heavy as the smell of sickness that clouded him. Piles of clothes were scattered about messily across Neuvillette’s closet door. Not quite a nest, but something close.
To his surprise, Wriothesley just laughed quietly. He watched as the omega walked towards him, and pressed his face against the crook of his neck.
“If it helps, Monsieur,” he heard the man mumble. “I don’t know how either.”
---Neuvillette was not a human. He didn’t understand love, what it was, who defined it, or even why.
But for the sake of someone he loved, he was willing to find out how to love him. In the best way he could.

Summary
“I don’t understand,” repeated Wriothesley. He could have said it until his vocal chords tore to shreds, and his eyes melted away into nothingness. “I don’t understand why you want me, Neuvillette. I’m not a good omega. I’m not even a good person.”
Neuvillette looked at him. The Iudex looked so fond, and so, so sad.
--
No one would ever love a sickly omega like Wriothesley. He couldn't have pups. Couldn't mate. Couldn't even nest.

Summary
“Now why, pray tell, have I garnered the attention of the General Mahamatra himself?” asked the scholar of interest.
Because you, Cyno thought, are an interesting individual.
Of course he does not admit it. He responded with, “You have been under suspicion of academic corruption and questionable dealings.”
—Cyno’s fascination with the Valuka Shuna and scholar named Tighnari merely grows as their relationship evolves into something more through the years.

Summary
Seung-gil's world has always been a little underpopulated. As of October 2017, he had a coach he couldn't connect with, a team he kept at arm's length, a family he couldn't confide in, and recently: a friend he had only recently come to trust.
Two months later, his coach is gone, his team is strained, his family is concerned, his friend has become much, much more, and everything around him is spiraling.
Meanwhile, the 2018 Winter Olympics is looming.
Seung-gil cuts him off with a soft, “Okay,” and a squeeze to his hand.
Phichit lets out a tiny exhale and gives him a wry smile. “Really?”
Seung-gil confirms they’re well and truly alone, then kisses the tip of his nose. “Yes.”
It’s incredible, really, how little effort it takes to make Phichit’s eyes light up.

I realize I also read this years before I even had an account and started writing; kudos and bookmarking to make things right; also this is the most underrated story in the series

Summary
The story of how a determined extrovert wooed the skating world's least approachable introvert.
After dinner and a bath and quality hamster time, snuggled in bed cocooned within his eight entirely necessary pillows, Phichit indulges himself and investigates Seung-gil's hashtag. There isn’t much from Seung-gil himself, but Seung-gil's fans are many and dedicated. Amid the photos of Seung-gil at competitions or practicing and the few candid shots of Seung-gil in airports or out on the streets of Seoul, there’s a very recent professional video uploaded by user andjoy_studio.
Phichit clicks on it, and his life changes.

Summary
Life after the Hakone Ekiden is very different in Kakeru's world: Haiji leaves, Haiji returns, Haiji stays, and Kakeru just tries to find his place in it all.
“Isn’t Kakeru always on the phone? I can hear him talking at the window,” Nico supplies unhelpfully.
“Girlfriend?” Yuki smirks.
“Or boyfriend,” Haiji adds.
“Or boyfriend,” Yuki concedes.
Kakeru feels utterly betrayed. He can’t believe Haiji is on their side, that he’s even encouraging this behaviour when he knows that his suggestion is entirely untrue. Not that Kakeru would mind it if Haiji was his boyfriend but he doesn’t like being teased so mercilessly.
“I don’t have a girlfriend!” Kakeru cries, exasperated.
“Boyfriend, then,” King nods to himself, like he’s just solved the biggest trivia question of them all.
“I don’t have a boyfriend either! It was Haiji-san!” Kakeru shouts, face red.

Summary
Haiji laughs again: a small, quiet thing, barely more than a breath, but Kakeru can still hear it. Haiji’s smiling, though, soft and fond and proud, and Kakeru can’t help but smile back, even as he gives in and pulls Haiji closer, letting Haiji lean into him more, taking more of his weight so it’s not all resting on Haiji’s knee. They’re so close now, closer than Kakeru thinks he’s ever been to Haiji.
Haiji’s hand moves from where it had been clenched in Kakeru’s jacket; he wraps his long fingers around Kakeru’s wrist instead, high against the curve of his hand, his thumb curling until it presses gently against the hollow of Kakeru’s palm.
“Kakeru,” Haiji says, eyes shining, his mouth curving soft and sweet and beautiful like the empty road. “Don’t you understand? You make everything seem possible.”

Summary
Hinata shifted his weight, moving out of the bright window light. “I saw clips from your last match,” he said. “That dump set in the third set—looked like you were about to go cross. I miss watching you do that. You look—clear, when you’re playing.”
Kageyama didn’t know what to say to that, so he just watched Hinata for a moment through the screen. Sunlight touched the edge of Hinata’s jaw, catching on the curve of his mouth.
“Do you think,” Kageyama said finally, “you’d have time to come here? Even just for a few days.”
Hinata blinked. “To Rome?”
Kageyama nodded.
There was a pause—longer than necessary, but not uncertain. Hinata rubbed a thumb along the side of his mug. “Yeah,” he said. “Yeah, I think I could."
(Hinata visits Kageyama in Rome.)
