Summary
He’d wanted to kill Ego so bad. But his friends, frustratingly smart and pragmatic galaxy savers that they were…
“Strictly speaking, we’ve got to make sure he doesn’t destroy the galaxy. Which means we’ve got to get you as far away from this planet as possible.”
--- --- ---
AU splitting off from Vol. 2 where instead of attempting to kill Ego, they take the defensive approach to galaxy guarding and get his power source (aka his son, aka Peter) as far out of his reach as possible. The story begins some months after that choice, and Peter is roaming the galaxy alone, lonely and pissed at his father for taking away literally every single person Peter ever considered ‘family.’ -

Summary
The afterlife. It’s kind of a wild place to say you’ve been. But it’s hard to be as worked up as maybe he should be when it’s not the first time it’s happened.
He won’t name what he’s looking for, he can’t even think it. The things Klaus want get snatched away too often, so he won’t let himself want it, not directly. But even though God might hate Klaus, she can’t stop him. Whatever it takes, he’ll be able to see him again.Klaus POV for 'Everyone Gets Here Eventually'

Summary
The first thing that Five does, as the white-blue light fades from Allison’s vision, is to growl, “Don’t fuck everything up.” The second thing he does is pass out.
They’ve got figure out where they are, and when they are. Figure out how to stop the end of the world. It took Five, who’s basically a genius, if a bratty one, over forty years, and that wasn’t long enough. Now the rest of them are on the clock, and Five is unconscious.
It’s time for ‘The Hargreeves Try to Save The World,’ take three.aka, an alternate s2 story that picks up right where s1 ends, plotted out when all I knew was that they'd be in 1963.

Summary
He’s a good father and an excellent man. It was so silly of Grace to offer her advice, because of course he doesn’t need her input to raise his children precisely as he sees fit. He always does what is best for the children, even if they are too childish to see it.
They are only eight, after all. Childishness is to be expected, surely. But Mr. Hargreeves has no tolerance for excuses or faulty property.

Summary
They gave him something, to get him to talk. A lot of it, because it wasn’t working at first. ‘Secrets you don’t want to tell,’ they said.
aka, It’s routine day-saving until Klaus gets dosed with some kind of truth serum that turns Diego’s most secretive brother into a forcibly compulsive over-sharer.

Summary
Diego finds Klaus in a bad place, and the aftermath of that, first from Diego's pov and the second fic a few weeks later and from Klaus'.
Or, if you want to get theme-y, it's ostensibly an exploration of how Diego and Klaus respectively relate to their superpower-ness with a little bit of plot and a pile of headcanons, set pre-series.

Summary
And there's blood on Verso's face, his hair, his uniform. Enough that Monoco's wooden heart pounds in his chest, panic seeping into his very being. Verso looks close to death, looks like he might already be dying, and yet. He's smiling.
Renoir — his father, the man who raised him, not the one from outside — barely has been touched at all. No, Renoir still seems invincible, and is ready to kill them all in an instant.
And Verso fucking smiles at him.

Summary
The thing that sits in front of him is a bloody mess. A ghost oozing blood in the pale moonlight of the continent, a most terrifying hallucination, one that Verso is beginning to get used to.
It is a manifestation of his guilt, one that is not likely to go away for sometime. The thing, the man, was named Gustave. And his absence is an unfillable void, one that Verso has no choice but to take. He made that void in the first place.
He sees Gustave on quiet lonely nights, he catches glimpses of him through dense trees, and sometimes as a dark sentinel standing far away in the distance.
But tonight the ghost has joined him next to the fire of the expedition's camp.

Summary
Mr. Terrific assured Lois in no uncertain terms that Clark was going to survive. That his healing was well underway, that the feverish confusion was normal, that with rest and relaxation, he would be fine.
But that was an hour ago. That was Clark-who-couldn’t-stand-up, sure, but he was still aware. Since then, his speech has deteriorated to confused muttering and his head has started lolling over like he can’t focus enough to keep it straight.
Lois glances over her shoulder again—never mind that she’s hurtling a hundred miles an hour through the air—she needs to see for herself that Clark is still alive. His swollen eyes are drifting shut again.
She just doesn’t believe he’s supposed to look like this.

Summary
After Verso loses his family to a house fire, he takes up a position as lightkeeper in an attempt to flee from both his grief and the prying eyes of Parisian high society.
Lumière is as sleepy as little towns come, and its folk are as kind and curious as one would expect. The lighthouse itself sits just out of town, on a little cliff jutting out from the coast of Bretagne. It’s an old place in a state of obvious disrepair, but thankfully the town’s engineer Gustave is as capable as he is handsome.
The perfect place for Verso, even though the sea starts whispering to him in his family’s voices at night. Grief can do that to a man, he thinks.
But when Gustave warns him not to listen to those that call for him in the darkness with a haunted look in his eyes, Verso realizes there is more at play in Lumière, and that his peaceful lightkeeper escape might turn out not to be so peaceful after all.

Summary
The moment she didn't come back - when he realised he'd waited days and days for her, and time ran smoothly, downhill, like a stream, and there were no more concerts - the first thing he did was run to the mountains and not look back.
(Verso kicks Alicia out of the canvas, panics, and goes home.)
