Summary
“Just, please, Frank.” She was looking up at him, her eyes huge and wet and so full of a mixture of love, devotion and fear. Her hands were gripping the front of his shirt and when Frank put his own over hers they were shaking, just slightly. Distinctly he could hear two stray cats fighting outside, as well as the steady hum of the old fridge Mel had brought over from her old place. He felt like he was going mad .
“Take care of me. Make me feel good. ” She leaned into him, pressing herself into his arms with all of her weight. He steadied her by her hips. He was probably squeezing her too hard, she would probably have bruises tomorrow but it was taking all of his energy to not do something far far more drastic. Mel got close enough that her lips were touching his ear and Frank felt a full body shiver move through him as her hot breath hit him. It was nothing more than a whisper. “Just be nice to me.”
Or, Mel and Frank go to Trinity’s birthday. Mel’s dress drives Frank insane. Mel drinks too much and has her needs. One thing leads to another.

Summary
There are certain rules while writing a proposal for a paper. You have an Introduction, Methodology section, Variable, Hypothesis and finally Study Type and References you have used. Mel knows the format all too well, having been in research for a long time. She just doesn't know how the same rules apply to real life.
[or: Frank and Mel fake-date, each for their own gain and they will never actually fall in love. Right?]

Summary
"Do you really think I'll have that?"
He didn't need her to specify. Abby and Leonard, under the arch, the whole night's worth of it.
"Of course, baby," he said.
She hummed, pleased, and let her head settle fully against his shoulder. His arm found its way around her without thinking about it.
"You can't call me that. Once you find yours."
He scrunched his nose. "Why not."
"People'll get the wrong idea."
"What wrong idea."
He felt her slow down a half-step.
"You know. You and I—"
"You and I?"
"Have more going on."
"We do have a lot more going on," he said, which was true, and also a way of not answering what he already suspected she meant.
"Not like- not in that way."
"In what way." He knew exactly what way.
He could feel her rolling her eyes against his shoulder
"You're gonna make me say it."
"You're a doctor, Mel. You're allowed to say fuck."

Summary
“What does Dr. Langdon being back have to do with my, uh…my problem?” Mel asks, chewing her bottom lip.
Samira and Trinity exchange loaded glances.
“Mel, c’mon. You two are…not exactly normal about each other,” Samira says gently.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Mel says, affronted, her limbs stiffening in defense.
“Whoa, chill, Melcontent,” Trinity starts, waving her hands placatingly. “She just means that Langdon clearly wants to fuck you. And it sounds like you may want to fuck him back, maybe?”
Mel coughs as she chokes on her own spit.
“What?” she blurts out, wheezing.
