Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi is left without backup, without guidance, and without a home to return to after the Jedi Temple falls. I straighten the sleeves of my new uniform—a stiff but slightly oversized black suit jacket with a camisole that sits a little lower on my chest than I’d like and matching black slacks, with a pair of black stilettos in my soft leather bag for when I get to the office. One of Mira’s old suit jackets, because I couldn’t bring myself to go out and buy my own. Because this is not where I was supposed to be going today.
While mom had prepared Mira and Brennan for a career in big law—at the massive international firm that bears her name—I’d tagged along with dad since grade school, learning how to help the city’s poor. I’d planned a career in nonprofit work, just as dad had, and had just started my bachelor’s degree in social work so that I’d be better prepared. I’d intended to spend summers as a legal assistant at various nonprofits during undergrad, then law school here in the Bay.
But then Brennan had some sort of breakdown and disappeared, and everything fell apart.

This is an unfortunate amount of plot and worldbuilding followed by kinky alien sex. It's pretty cozy as an ovi fic goes, so the dove is alive, but it definitely has a few extra eyes and appendages. Spicy chaps marked with 🌶️ if you're here for a good time not a long time.
