Summary
"In the booth tucked beside the tiny kitchenette aboard the Stan O’ War II, Ford peered through cracked glasses at his brother's back, at the eggs sizzling in a pan on the stove. He watched the unfamiliar-familiar lines of his brother, older and grayer and jaded, and wondered if he ever knew him at all.
If not, he would like to fix that."
(Loosely-connected scenes of what comes after the apocalypse-that-wasn't; a brotherhood rekindles, and Ford discovers that he is not alone.)

Summary
"It didn't feel like it in each moment, but things were changing all the time, even when Dipper thought he was stuck in place. Simple snapshots of their family from one summer to the next would show that plain as day.
So why hadn’t this changed too? He remembered being carefree at the Northwest Manor party last year, so where was that Dipper now?"
(Dipper separates himself from everyone at the second annual Shack party due to nerves. Stan finds him, and they have a chat.)

Summary
“It don't line up the exact same, but my mama told me stories.” Fiddleford caged himself with his arms, looking away. “About Blue Ridge travellers ran off by ghostly black dogs with big red eyes. In some stories, the dog's a protector. But in others, it's an omen.”
A tale Ford had dismissed as a child, convinced that the varied and vague reports indicated this particular oddity was only fictional. Perhaps his child self had been hasty. He tilted his head. “An omen of?”
Fiddleford uncurled himself and looked Ford in the eye. “Death.”
(Ford Pines is intrigued by a new anomaly.
Stan Pines, as the unwitting new anomaly, is having a bad time.)

Summary
As he's staring into the barrel of a gun, Stan can't help but remember all the times he's been in situations just like this. It's not Ford's fault that there's something hauntingly familiar about being on his knees while his life hangs in the balance, but this time it's not just Stan's life in Ford's hands, but his whole identity.

Summary
Stan felt shitty. No other way to put it.
As he gave the last two tours of the day, that was the major feeling that circulated through his cluttered mind. As he flipped around the ‘Open’ sign to ‘Closed-Beat It!’ and locked the doors where the public usually wandered through, he kept thinking about that last conversation with Mabel. The moments he had caught sight of his usually loud and bright niece specifically avoiding eye contact with him and shrinking in a painfully familiar way, he felt especially shitty.
Or: Mabel uses her detective skills to find what her Great Uncle has been hiding... which is a secret stash of Jelly Beans
