Of course.
There were probably hundreds of streets in Gotham—thousands, even. Plenty of little dark alleys and piss soaked corners for a man to stand in while he smoked that of his cigarette and waited for his hands to stop shaking. And somehiw he'd managed to pick the one Batman was currently occupying.
"Before you start," John said, taking another drage and watching the end flare orange between his fingers. "I already know."
Boots sounded against the pavement behind him. Slow and heavy and entirely too familiar. His thumb twitched toward the gold band around his finer before he caught himself. A bit of a bad habit, unfortunately. A worse one when Batman was involved
"You said you would let me know before you came back to Gotham," Batman said dryly.
John glanced over his shoulder.
The cowl gave him fuck all.
No change in expression. No obvious irritation. Nothing but those blank white lenses fixed on him from beneath the shadow of night.
John curled his fingers around the cigarette before they could betray him again.
"Did I?" He asked.

Summary
John came back by inches.
At first, he was warm. And not the itchy, feverish kind that crawled beneath your skin and made it feel three sizes too small. This was deeper than that—heavier. All around him yet not drowning him.
Water lapped softly against his chest with every breath, little waves breaking beneath his chest before slipping back again, and John just lay there unable to process anything else.
His body felt detached from reality—too leaden to move, to loose to properly coordinate. There was something solid at his back and something warmer against his cheek. There was a distant sensation of fingers shifting against his stomach whenever the water moved.
He breathed in and musk was the first thing he could smell. And the faint salt of sweat threaded beneath soap that John had come to associate with exactly one tall, dark, and broody hero. There was leather and metal and the barely there tang of gun oil that seemed to follow him around no matter how many times he showered.
It was familiar enough by now that even John's half conscious brain was able to supply the answer before his brain managed to catch up—Midnighter.

“Right then.” Constantine glanced around the ruined street. “Anyone still possessed, or are we finished?”
The two men he’d just saved from the line of fire hadn’t moved very far.
The blond looked like he’d had a particularly unpleasant afternoon. His white uniform hung in scorched, ragged strips, exposing bronzed skin that, remarkably, didn’t appear nearly as damaged as it ought to be.
The other bloke looked altogether less approachable. Black cowl. Black armor and a leather trench coat. Blood streaked across his chin without so much as a hint that he intended to wipe it off.
Neither of them looked possessed, at least.
The blond was handsome, he’d give him that. Properly handsome, in fact. Golden hair, blue eyes, the sort of face sculptors probably cried over. Bit too clean for Constantine’s usual tastes, mind.
The dark suited one on the other hand. Now that was more Constantine’s speed. Tall, dark, and comprised of all sorts of bad decisions no doubt.
Constantine always had questionable taste in men.

Summary
Tim drifted, warm and pleasantly fuzzy, his nose pressed deep against the pack omega's throat where his scent settled strongest. A little thrill bloomed in his chest, quiet contentment washing through him.
There were hushed whispers nearby, but Tim was too hazy to care. There only thing capable of holding his attention was the long fingers carding gently through his damp hair.
He couldn't stop the sleepy little chuff that rose to the back of his throat. It earned a low chuckle from his omega.
Tim didn't particularly appreciate being laughed at but… he supposed he'd let it slide. Just this once. Especially when his omega answered by nuzzling the top of his head like he was a pup tucked safely beneath his mother's chin.

"I have to ask," Jason said, almost conversationally as he slammed the butt of a pistol into a League assassin's jaw. The man hit the ground with a satisfying thud. "What exactly did you do to piss off that bastard, Ra's?"
Tim ducked beneath a sword, caught the assassin's wrist, and threw all of his weight behind the counter. There was a sharp snap and the body crumbled.
"Oh," Tim said, already moving toward the next one. "It's nothing."
Which—okay. Maybe not nothing if you counted blowing up every League base he could globally.
Jason snorted.
"That's a lie and you damn well know it."
Another assassin rushed him.
Jason shot him in the knee without even looking.
"So," he continued. "Try again. What. Did. You. Do."
Tim sighed.
Honestly, people always made this into a bigger deal than it needed to be.
"So, I maybe destroyed a couple of his bases."
Jason stared.
"…Globally. And now he wants me to sire his children so he can have a new heir."
And there was silence.

Summary
An omega has certain biological needs. Dick knows this. His parents made sure he knew, his schools taught him, and Bruce and Alfred were exquisitely careful to further educate him.
Dick has never had these needs go unmet before, and no amount of education prepared him for this.
And—it’s just temporary. It’s going to get better. Right? Eventually they have to forgive him.
