Summary
The life Julian always wanted isn't the one he's living, and he's going to have to accept that. He's done plenty well for himself as one of the youngest-ever professors at Oxenfurt Academy. He has friends, even if they've all moved away. A family he loves, even if he doesn't keep in touch. And if the crowds are underwhelmed when he dresses up and calls himself the bard Jaskier, it's only because that life wasn't meant to be his.
There's no reason for him to doubt this--at least not until his future at the Academy is suddenly up in the air, students start dying in the night, and the Butcher of Blaviken comes to town.

Summary
As they lie in bed, Jaskier snuggled and breathing humid against his chest hair, Geralt remembers the pattern from Novigrad. A sweater with stretchy ribbing around the wrists and bottom hemline, a high collar. Intricate cabling criss-crossing up the front, making the fabric thick and sturdy. The scroll is stuffed into one of his saddlebags where he’d put it after purchase when he’d cursed himself for wasting the coin.
Jaskier snuffles closer, his grip tightening around Geralt’s waist as he soaks the added warmth through his skin, and Geralt has an idea.
Or: Geralt doesn't know about the boyfriend sweater curse.

It’s silly, but the discovery of the little grove feels like more than happenstance. The place vibrates with something Jaskier can’t name, feels clandestine and powerful. Like it could give him what he wants, if he’d let it.

“Doesn’t make him not fresh meat. He’s gonna last five minutes, tops. Someone is gonna OTK that poor bastard.”
