Summary
Atsushi and Akutagawa are ready to begin this new chapter of their lives as they await the birth of their baby together. It should be a time filled with sweetness and love, but nothing can be that easy, especially for these two. It's their chance to get to know each other and try to build the happy family neither of them ever had, ideally to welcome their pup into a good home. The only problem: They aren't together and don't see how a relationship between them could work or even be possible.

Summary
The first time Atsushi died, he was only five.
He doesn’t remember it, much how he doesn’t remember much of anything before the orphanage, but he remembers how it felt. The searing pain that burned into his abdomen, much worse than the pain that was already present on every other part of his body, and the white that faded into the corners of his vision, into the black of his already closed eyelids.

Summary
Akutagawa looked Atsushi in the eyes with a subtle softness,“I keep my promises no matter what.” Atsushi paused, studying the other man as if he was from another planet before sighing, “Well then… Promise me…” He looked away from the slightly taller man as he spoke, “That you'll find me in another life? One where we can be happy?” The other man looked surprised for a second by the request, “I'll try Jinko, I can't guarantee anything…” A small, rare smile bloomed on the Mafioso's face, “But I'll try.”

Summary
Akutagawa Ryunnosuke was no stranger to death. Unlike most, he had walked hand in hand with death his entire life. Watched it take his friends in the cold of the night. Witnessed it at the bloody end of his blades. Felt the rot of it growing within his own lungs. For every step he had taken in life, death had not been far behind.
