    “We do not say anything about the Hollander situation,” LeClaire tells them even though it sounds like he’s already resigned to what he knows is going to happen.

    After all, Roz gets extremely mad whenever it’s brought up. Not that Cliff can blame him, he’s pretty sure that Roz liked Hollander before this (wouldn’t chirp him half as much if he didn’t). Finding out that he’s such a bastard must sting.

    Not to mention that Roz does not mess around with people that disrespect girls. Or women. Or kids. Or dogs. Or the elderly (excluding Scott Hunter). Or really anyone, if it’s for petty stupid reasons.

    “Of course,” Cliff agrees for both of them since Roz is still too busy texting someone.

    It’s apparently not good enough for LeClaire because he asks, “Roz?”

    “Just one second,” he answers without raising his eyes from his phone or stopping his typing. “Need to get my Jane to agree with something. She’s very stubborn.”

     

    Or. My take on the 'their text leak and now everybody thinks that Shane is an abusive bastard' premise. Featuring Ilya giving a presser, Marly realizing in real time who 'Jane' is and the internet reacting to the craziness.

    "Do you think…" Shane says, focusing too intensely on washing the glass, "that, um, the team will care? About us, like… being in the locker room together? Because we're married."

    Ilya pauses. Shane can feel him inhale, then exhale, Ilya's chest moving against his back. Without a word, Ilya takes the glass and the sponge from Shane's hands, sets them in the sink, and then runs their hands under the water to clear the soap. He shuts the tap off and reaches for the towel, drying them both off. Shane almost smiles at how Ilya does everything for him, rather than just telling him to put the dish down.

    Ilya steps back just enough to place his hands on Shane's hips and spin him around, eyeing him curiously. "What do you mean, moya lyubov?"

    Shane twists his mouth to one side, fiddling with the edge of Ilya's sweater. "I was just wondering if we should, like, establish rules with how much PDA we do. I worry that being too… touchy might make people uncomfortable. Especially if we're doing it every day."

    - or, 5 times PDA around the Centaurs makes Shane nervous, plus 1 time it doesn't

    No serious hockey fan or sports commentator worth their salt would have considered record-breaking Boston superstar Ilya Rozanov to be Shane Hollander’s rival exactly, but sleeping with a man who had a specific offense-related vendetta against him and a wrist shot like a jet engine to back it up was probably ill-advised just the same.

    Or, Shane is a goalie. Ilya can’t score.
