Summary
At twenty-five, Dennis Whitaker still lives on his family’s farm in rural Nebraska. His brothers have married, his parents are getting older, and he has yet to find a convincing reason to change.
Once practically a member of the Whitaker household, Michael Robinavitch has spent most of his adult life elsewhere, building a life of his own and carving out his own path, returning just often enough to make his absence difficult to forget. Years have passed since his last visit, and Dennis would have preferred a few more.
