Roy Kent has never left the pitch on a stretcher. Not when he broke his collarbone before even turning thirteen, not when he was jumped by three players in the aftermath of a game, not when he fucked up his knee playing for the last time.
Today, he was carried out on a stretcher.

Summary
Roy and Jamie were together. A pair, a couple, boyfriends, or as they preferred, partners. And they were the only people who knew this. Both knew they had to tell some people eventually, so Jamie told his mom, and Roy told his sister.
And now they have to tell the team. And the coaches. And the manager. And boss. And the guy who’s writing a book about everyone. Quite a second step.

Summary
Haymitch felt confident that this was another punishment dictated by Snow. How many names in that bowl were Burdock’s? Was it all of them? He felt an overwhelming urge to find out. It would be easy. All he had to do was knock the bowl on the ground and watch it break into a million pieces, the Capitol’s regime shattering with it as everyone realized that there were no odds to be in favor of. The outcome of the Games was manipulated from the start.
or
When Haymitch first wakes up on the day of the reaping, his only goal is to make it through his first year as a mentor without falling apart. After his former best friend is selected to be that year's male tribute, however, his goal becomes to stop the 51st Hunger Games before they even begin.

"I agree to keep the geese. When the goslings hatch from Peeta’s incubator and start honking and pattering around, I feel something in my ribcage creak open: a rusty trapdoor leading to a place I haven’t been in years."
(In which Haymitch survives the Games, is faced with the question of what to do after, and must eventually give in to hope.)
