As Jungkook’s breathless surprise morphs into confusion, his nose automatically scrunches. She giggles into her hand. “Yoongi called me Theta once as a joke and it just stuck. It fits well though.” she grins and then continues. “Theta in Greek means death, which I was near to when the boys found me. It’s also the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet and since I’m pack member number eight, well it’s just perfect” she smiles even wider showing small white teeth. Her gaze drops. “I’m so glad you’re finally here” she finishes softly while glancing up through her lashes at him. Jungkook is confused. Jungkook is definitely confused.
“W-what do you mean?” he asks. “I thought you were the seventh pack member?”
“I’m not number seven. I’m eight” she says with a small smile and tilt of her head. “W-well, then who is the seventh member of the pack?”
Her smile spreads just a little wider when she replies “Well you are silly. You’re number seven.”
Jungkook is frozen, but he doesn’t miss the other six wolves in the room collectively inhale.
