Summary
The airport looks like it always does. A sea of people oblivious to anything going on around them. Ilya is about to put his headphones over his ears when he sees something so familiar his brain almost doesn't register it. That is until he realizes that he's in fucking Moscow so this doesn't make any sense.
Because right there at the gate, spread out over several chairs, his duffle bag as a pillow, is the figure of Shane Hollander sleeping. The hood of his sweatshirt is up and he's wearing sunglasses, but Ilya would recognize the shape of Shane Hollander anywhere.
“Hollander?” he asks in shock, stepping closer.
Or, Shane shows up in Russia after learning Ilya's father died. Ilya did not ask him to do this. He just showed up. And now Ilya doesn't know what to do with himself. He proceeds to just go with it, and maybe listen to Shane for once.
Another song inspired fic, this time Ever the Same by Rob Thomas which I argue is underrated.

Or: Yuna Hollander thinks Rozanov is an asshole. Rozanov proves her wrong.

Fits into canon smoothly. A little spot of love and learning to understand with Yuna

Summary
"You trust me?" Ilya asks, once, easy. Shane nods without even thinking. Ilya throws the ball. Shane watches as it flies in an arc across the yard. Cookie isn't even back yet. "Prinesi myach."
Shane doesn't recognize the Russian. Just looks at Ilya.
"Go on," Ilya says, like Shane's stupid for still standing there. "Go get it."
"What?"
"Go get me the ball. Myach."

Ilya didn't tell Shane that he's watching a dog for the weekend. Shane isn't upset about it, and he definitely isn't jealous.

Summary
Shane Hollander does not leave outcomes to chance. When traditional dating fails to produce the stability he wants, he turns to a private matchmaker who promises something more deliberate: one match, one meeting, one decision.
Ilya Rozanov never planned to get married. But when his carefully controlled life starts to unravel, marriage becomes the simplest solution.
Neither of them is looking for love. What they agree to is a calculated partnership, built on alignment, not emotion.
It should be straightforward.
It is not.

Very unique and intentional writing style. A pause for breath between each sentence. I really like it
