Summary
After what happened at Korolevskiy Theater, things went back to normal, as normal as they could make it to be. They don’t have a choice. The world does not stop moving on its axis simply because they experienced the Curse of Death momentarily.
Alyosha goes back to his usual routine of hunting and working part-time at the theater. And as normal as any day in Snezhnaya, week-long blizzards storm by to set him back a few paces, leaving him short of budget. While trying to scrounge enough money, he meets Mitya a couple of times. To be fair, they haven’t talked much before, if they had at all. Summary
Instead of his gun jamming, Ashley (under Saddler’s control) successfully shot Leon, killing him. Leon should be dead — except he’s woken up chained to Luis again, back at the beginning of his mission.
Leon has been given a second chance (and many more, he would come to find out) to save Ashley and Luis. And he’d do whatever it takes to make sure they survive and escape from Valdelobos, no matter the cost.
