Summary
Gem finds herself at school when her half-sibling, Grian, decides to do a silly little joke by sitting in the chair she always sat in. This very unfortunately leads to a terrible series of events in which Gem nearly gets run over by cars, skips school for the very first time in her life, drops her mothers handmade burrito on the floor, and more!
Gem had always been good at pretending everything was fine. I mean, if she didn’t think about what wasn’t fine, then all her thoughts would be happy, right? All sunshine and rainbows. Well, unfortunately, that wasn’t quite how it worked.
