Summary
London, the 1840s: Dean Winchester, newly released from prison, is in need of work. His brother, law clerk Sam Winchester, has a friend in need of a valet and lab assistant.
To Sam, it seems the perfect arrangement: his wayward brother will be set back on the righteous path by James Novak, a young father and promising scientist. Summary
Some tombs are built to keep things out, but this one was built to keep something in.
Dean Winchester reads the words of some long dead language because he doesn't know any better, and somewhere beneath a few thousand years of dust, something starts breathing again.
Something big. Something vast and ancient, more sacred than anything Dean has ever laid eyes on in any church.
But the world it left behind no longer exists, and everything it once belonged to has long turned to ruin. The only thing now tying it to the world it woke to find is the man who said its name.
The millennia might have swallowed every trace of what it was, but now it's found something new to call its own. And it intends to keep him.
