Summary

With a bit of luck he gets into graduate school to finish his Masters Degree and managed to score an assistantship position for a professor to cover his tuition.

“Are you a cop? Show me your badge or permission,” the detective retorted impassively, raising an eyebrow.
“What? Look, mate, you just got here, so I forgive you for not knowing, but-”
“Mate?” the detective retorted, sliding a hand to touch the badge as if to emphasize his position. “Show me the permit or I'll arrest you.”
Louis gaped at him, because what alternate universe had he just been thrown into? He wasn't just threatening, he really was going to arrest him.
