You’re not quite sure how your classes got so popular. When you started teaching here a decade ago, you didn’t even have a full schedule. Now suddenly enough students have enrolled in art that they have to hire a part-time teacher to cover the other two classes.
You don’t mind helping him out a bit, do you? He’s a great artist, but just retired from a very different career, so he’s doing his own courses in the evening to get his full certification.
He’d be teaching the two freshman classes. You could do those in your sleep, so sharing your plans and materials is no hardship for you. You have to wonder though— What kind of job would someone retire from just to go through the trouble of becoming a high school teacher? In this economy?

Summary
Buck really likes his boyfriend.
He may not know what Tommy's coffee order is, and Tommy may not indulge Buck's antics (like Chim's bachelor party) to the level he would like him to, but that was part of being in a relationship. It's not going to start out perfect, but part of being in a relationship is learning about one another!
And Buck and Tommy both have places to grow, with Buck recently discovering his sexuality and Tommy being a little too pessimistic, but they will grow and support each other because they're partners! Right?

But now he was alone, halfway up a hill no one knew he had decided to climb, and he had slipped so easily off the path and down a not-so-small embankment. It was fine, he just needed his head to stop spinning, and to be able to take a deep breath without his chest feeling like it was on fire, and he'd be fine.
He closed his eyes, the trees that were dancing around him were starting to make him feel sick, his stomach roiling like he was on that Euthanasia coaster he'd been reading about for no reason the other day, spinning in ever smaller circles until his body just shut down. But that wasn't going to happen here, because Buck was fine. He was fine. He just needed a few minutes.

Evan Buckley gets hurt while Eddie Diaz is in Texas and he handles it great. 10/10 no notes.

There’s a pause in the air, Buck swears he can feel the world holding its breath along with him, but the stranger finally turns around and Buck—
“Bobby?”
The flowers drop out of his hand.
