Summary
Steve Harrington could handle many things. He could handle monster-fighting, torture from Russian spies, and traveling to an alternate dimension—time and time again—just because of a group of nerdy teenagers that had somehow managed to wedge their way into Steve's weary heart asked him to. But the one thing he couldn't handle was serving witness to those nerdy teenagers being forced to rebuild themselves every time they inevitably faced trauma far beyond their years.
And when Dustin Henderson showed up at Hawkins Memorial Hospital with tears in his eyes and words of loss on his tongue, Steve was sure that he could shoulder no more of the heart-wrenching grief on the forefront of everyone's mind.
But everything changed with a flickering lightbulb and a miracle.

Summary
Japan is running out of heroes, and the government’s solution is as cold as it is absolute: the forced pairing of UA’s Alphas and Omegas. No suppressants. No anti-claiming collars. No choice.
Izuku Midoriya has fought every day to prove that being an Omega doesn't make him weak. But when the state assigns him to Katsuki Bakugo. The most explosive, arrogant Alpha in their year, his independence is stripped away by decree.
Bakugo resents the law, resents the bond, and most of all, resents the fact that his body reacts to the one person he’s spent years looking down on. Locked in a shared room and forced to face Bakugo’s possessive, suffocating Alpha instincts without his collar, Izuku learns that surviving the war outside is nothing compared to surviving the boy the government paired him with.

This fic is the spiritual lovechild of the "it's not exactly a car, Steve" Steddie moment in Season 4 and the fight scene between Steve and Billy in Season 2. That's it. That's the fic. -
