All they could see was darkness. They felt the gaze of the shadows stare back at them, wherever they were. This place… it wasn’t natural, it wasn’t of the world they knew. Or had known. How long had they even been here, in this strange place? It felt like they’d been here for as long as they could remember now. Did time even have meaning anymore?
How odd that they couldn’t remember anything anymore. They knew they had a life before this place, but even that knowledge was now starting to slip away. What to do? What was there to do? They couldn’t just stay here for eternity in this darkness that seemed to want to swallow them whole. They refused.
They refused.
They were going to get their life back. They didn’t care what it took. What they had to do. Whatever needed to be done, they were determined to do it.
OR
The SOUL is a separate entity with a personality who is possessing Kris while also still having Kris in the body, and vice versa. Toxicity ensues.

Summary
It’s unknown how it happened but the Deltarune player somehow gets pulled inside the game at the beginning of chapter 4. They seem to be taking it surprisingly well. Unfortunately Kris is horrified by this turn of events. Least of all due to the fact they seem to have unlimited full and complete control over their body now. At least they keep their memories every time it goes back in time, that’s good right?
Aka: just another generic deltarune player get trapped in the game fic. These are my favorite types of fics. This is my first attempt at writing so it probably sucks.

It's in the midst of this internal debate, Kris hears the soul tapping rhythmically on the bars of it's cage.
Kris knows what that tapping means.

Kurourushi was a Special Grade cursed spirit who served as a brief antagonist during Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Game arc. By the time Yuta Okkotsu had appeared, it had managed to obtain, what was it, 54 points? It, despite being a curse, had been a player powerful enough to force a stalemate between itself and three top-tier reincarnated sorcerers, until Yuta had exorcised it with the power of love or some shit, only for it to come back, and get exorcised again by Ryu’s high-output Biden Blast.
A strong antagonist for sure, and despite the internet rage at the time, they personally thought the cockroach curse had made a pretty interesting fight, and had possibly one of the most dangerous cursed techniques shown by a cursed spirit in the entire manga. That said, you would never catch them wishing to be a FUCKING COCKROACH.
Funny how things played out, wasn't it.
